Can’t comment on the food as both times I tried to order they were out of everything and the most “over it” employees. Wait time and customer service were dreadful and I’m not surprised the are “temporarily closed”. Maybe hire staff that don’t look like hostages and stock enough food to get to at least midday.

I enjoyed fish trap until recently. I used to enjoy their Mac n cheese up until recently. Last month I ordered and it had no taste, today I ordered and it was made with penne noodles. The sweet potatoes also had an odd taste like they came out of a can. I pray they get back on track or I won't be returning..

I want to like this place soooo bad buy just don't. Service is terrible... food portions get smaller and less "thoughtful" with each visit and for the price you pay and time you wait it is unacceptable to come home with a greasy mess. Whoever owns this has so much potential but you can tell that they could care less. They let a bunch of kids with bad attitude run the place for dinner service.... so sad. Food is decent most times but I can't bring myself to support a business who cares less about providing basic service to the community it serves. For 50+ dollars for 2 dishes I expect for my business to be appreciated just a bit more.

Ordered two fish sandwiches they only have WhiTe bread...No whole wheat which most people want. Cashiers phone super loud as a customer why do I have to hear what you watching on your phone. Limited supplies only large bags..The fish spot in Hempstead on Main Street is still my # spot

What a horrible horrible experience / 2 whiting candies Yams and potato salad. Price $14.64 no problem I wanted something different got home excited open the container my whiting looked like two chicken tenders. $14 dollars ? what did I pay for I seriously don't mind paying for good food but not for chicken tenders.

When you’re traveling and have a taste for some good Catfish and get a recommendation… you try it! The Fish Trap came highly recommended This was a 5 star experience from the moment we walked in. Angie greeted us with a friendly accommodating spirit. I love the fact that the menu was simple and the prices were on point. We ordered food to go, was told it would be about 20 minutes. The wait was less than 20. We headed out and enjoyed the large portion of catfish which was cooked to perfection as was the entire order. Located in Baldwin, the location was perfect! The food, seasonings, service, atmosphere and location were amazing!! Next time I’ll try the Shrimp and Grits which I hear are the truth?

I ordered j*** shrimp with the lobster Mac & cheese (keep in mind, lobster & macaroni are my least fav foods) and it was very good. Especially the j*** shrimp. The customer service there is amazing. The cashier, Winter, is a very friendly, well-mannered pretty young lady. Will be back soon!
The place was nice and the staff was nice but the food didn’t have any taste. I had the whiting dinner with fries and potato salad. I could only taste the hot sauce.

If you don't want to take phone orders after 7pm Friday and Saturdays, just say that! The workers always answering the please hold and never coming back on the phone. Over 6 minutes on Saturday February 12 before I hung up ,

Disappointed all I wanted was fish and chips. Waited 45mins for unseasoned food. The whiting fish had no taste. I had to add salt that came in the bag. The whiting fish didn't even look like whiting fish. The shrimp had no taste but it was nicely fried. The Cajun rice very small portion had no taste either so it doesn't matter and someone had a carnival with the black pepper. Rice did taste like box rice. Tartar smelled sour but it wasn't spoiled I guess. Small portion for the asparagus. The only thing I enjoyed was the yams and fries but the oil tasted old.
