I was dying for j*** chicken after having it for the first time in the Caribbean. I tried a few places locally but Tropical J*** was the best. The chicken is fresh with just the right amount of spice and lots of flavor. The rice and peas is moist and fluffy. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is they are often out of certain sides and can sometimes get the order wrong. However the chicken itself is well worth going back for.

Served table scraps on 7/7/22 around lunchtime. I thought I ordered the j*** chicken entree. I got chopped up bones, very little chicken with yesterday's peas and rice. I have ordered food from here for many years and never experienced this before! I will not be returning. Another one bites the dust!

So far I've had food to Go , and it was Excellent. Ox tail , peas and rice with veggies were great. The J*** chicken dinner with the sweet sauce Perfection. Escovitch fish is great. All the food is great.

Price a little high, even before inflation got out of control. The food is ok, compared to the other Jamaican options that's around the area (most others are worse ?). Depending on the chef the J*** chicken can be extremely good or just subpar. The fried fish tends to sell out quick, so get it from early. Parking outside is horrible there's only 3 spots in the front, good luck with exiting your vehicle because the cars traveling North bound on Grand Ave, are speeding like 100mph.

Tropical J*** chicken is the #1 seller in New York. This j*** chicken is the closest thing your going to get to authentic J*** taste & flavor, if you can't make it home to Jamaica for Boston j*** or Red Hills Rd pan chicken. Highly recommend. Great customer service..

You need a great car you definitely need to check with LFc auto anything you want they have it. Just ask for Omar. Great service
J*** chicken is very good however the cashier that's there she can use a quick attitude adjustment. I love my people but don't fall into the stereotype of a bad attitude of what people say about Jamaican take out. If you don't want to be there then quit. You're ruining peoples experience and causing a bad name for the establishment.

Food was ok and the portion of salmon that I got was ridiculous compared to the price I paid for it. J*** chicken that I ordered had good flavor but was overcooked which made it dry. I probably wouldn't go there again.

This review hurts me very much. I've been a supporter of Tropical J*** restaurant from the day they opened and after several recent hiccups with their food, am finally giving up this restaurant. Bought my food today and i swear they changed the menu, prices, cooks except for their sweet sauce on the j*** chicken (which taste the same). I'm moving on the next j*** spot, will save my money until I find it!!!
