A great local option! I always enjoy their contemporary plates and the clam chowder was definitely the best around. Charlie was very friendly and attentive. Nice meal
I’m adding this review here since the two phone calls I placed to management have gone unanswered. This is a really nice looking restaurant on a beautiful spot near a golf course. They have a fantastic bourbon list and good prices. The food, once or arrives and when it’s the right temperature, is actually quite good.
What isn’t good is the way they treated our two tables and a few other tables nearby on Saturday, May 10, 2025. (And yes I am writing this review now because I figured two calls over two weeks was long enough to hear back from them.)
The issue is that we were seated about 30 minutes late for an 8:15 reservation. And yes we were a big party. And yes it was graduation weekend. But by the time we sat down the restaurant was pretty much empty. While one table got appetizers and the other didn’t, the former table’s meals came out 15-20 minutes after the first table had finished eating. The two custom cakes we ordered were rushed out while one table was still eating and we sat there with a fair number of the restaurant staff hovering around waiting on us to leave as if it was our fault we were there so late.
A manager came over and rather than apologizing and asking what she could to to make things right or even offering some appeasing words or to comp one round of our drinks (wasn’t that much) she basically didn’t apologize and stated we shouldn’t have expected better service on graduation weekend or the night before Mother’s Day.
I don’t actually think this was a service issue. Our waitress was as on top of things as she could be. It could have been a kitchen issue, though by the time we ordered the number of tables seated was few (and one table of regulars got up and just left!). I really think that what this is is a leadership issue starting with the manager on duty that night but continuing to the lack of any response to my phone calls. I think this is a cool place with good food and a great bar but it really seems they don’t care much about their customers based on this experience. (And since it was a table or frequent customers that got up and left, I don’t think the lack of concern was because we were visitors.)
Very nice place, little pricey.
Drink was not that great , carrot martini food was not plentiful for the price
Went to hear for my dad's birthday dinner. It was my first time there. I had the Chicken Milanese with a side order of Mac and Cheese. The chicken was delicious. It was crispy and cooked very well. The Mac and cheese was okay. While I know some like Mac and cheese that's made with a cheese sauce but I like it baked with a nice crispy top. The Banana and Peanut Butter Cake was okay too. The ice cream was def the best part. The place itself was very beautiful. The staff was very friendly but not very attentive. Water glasses stayed empty until dessert.
Food great, service ok.. arrival of food and drink a bit slow. But, our server, Abby, was patient, kind, wonderful.
This place gets a 10/10. Amazing lunch, food was perfect and service was excellent. Big shout out to Cindy and Chance for the excellent service and fun lunch!
Food is inconsistent and the staff is mostly untrained high school students. Like most restaurants it was solid when it first opened but steadily has gone downhill. Much better places to eat for the money.
Went to celebrate a birthday. Waitress dumped (accidentally) a bunch of dirty silverware on our guest. Stained his shirt. Did not offer napkins or anything to clean up. Manager came over with an attitude. She comped 2 drinks but no apology.
This was the third meal we’ve eaten at Persimmons. The food and service is consistently excellent. This was especially important to us because we had just left Mohegan Manor hungry and frustrated after a murder mystery dinner was overbooked. What a relief it was to have the hostess have a table for us in minutes on a busy Saturday night at 7pm. It was so nice to be able to relax and enjoy a great meal with such wonderful staff after the issues we had with our original plans.
Pimento cheese dip was a perfect starter, considering it was The Masters weekend. Strip steak and beef short rib for our entrees, and some tasty desserts. What’s more to like?
Really nice place! Great Bar area and the service/food were awesome! Can't wait to get back there in the Spring/Summer months!

My husband, 7 month old daughter, and I had lunch here over the weekend and had a great experience! The staff was very friendly and great with our little one! It was nice and quiet but not too quiet that we felt out of place. The grilled cheese with short ribs and tomato soup was excellent! We will be back!
So the place is beautiful and nice and clean. The staff is great, but our food was almost room temp. The mashed potatoes didn't even melt the butter. We were using an E gift card but were still charged at the credit card rate. I have about 17 dollars left on it and will probably give it away.
Always a great experience. Great entertainment too!
I recently celebrated a birthday dinner at this fantastic restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish was cooked to perfection. The service was also outstanding, with attentive and friendly staff. They were very accommodating to our group's needs and made the evening truly special. I highly recommend this place for any celebration.
Went with family for the first time and they were able to accommodate 16 people. Anna did an amazing job handling all of the orders and was very attentive. The food was amazing and so were the drinks ! I ordered the lychee martini, 10/10
