The food was excellent. Truly fine dining. I had an opportunity to eat here as part of my stay at the associated Airbnb. I am a very accomplished home cook and am not typically thrilled with fine dining experiences but this was excellent. The butternut squash soup was the star of the meal. I will be dreaming about that for months. I also had perfectly cooked scallops and a scrumptious crepe brûlée with a perfect brûlée on top. I think they cater and host weddings and parties as well, which I would definitely consider in the future!

We held our son’s wedding at the Mohegan manor. As we talked to people about the wedding and reception it appears there were many irregularities that surfaced. First, when we arrived you told us we had the cigar bar for the men to get ready. However, when we arrived there was another wedding taking place in that room. . Our photographer was greeted with a snappy response when he inquired how much longer. These people did not vacate the bar until 2:50. The men had to find another place to get ready. We could not use the garden for pictures because of this other wedding party when vacating the bar moved to the garden. Our photographer had to find an alternative place. In the parking lot against the wall. We had no access to the garden until after the ceremony. Also the 1st hour was supposed to be an open bar. However, I had many guests say they were paying throughout the reception. I paid 2 separate $ 500.00 payments to keep the bar opened longer. Obviously to no avail. It appears some people were required to pay others were not. Also the beer was warn, This issue was brought to their attention many times. But never resolved. I do want to emphasize this issue persisted throughout the reception, not merely at particular incremental slots. When we arrived in the reception room it was short a table and had to reorganize to fit the 11th table in. They obviously knew there was supposed to be 11 tables because the center pieces were numbers. They went from 9 to 11. They did have the table 10 decorations, just never set up Also and equally disturbing, they actually ran out of the scheduled menu items. I had several guests on the last 2 tables mentioned the servers ran out of menu items.. And apparently displayed attitudes when asked for menu items. Also the buffet was extremely short. We had Tassones Wine Garden host my daughter’s wedding. The buffet was many pans and platers spread over 2 tables. Mohegan Manor had only 3 small pans on one small table. To note as well. Our agreement was for 100 guests. We had less than this actually shows up and they still ran out of menu items? When you charge $46.00 per plate and fall short is unacceptable. The next day the Bride approached the owner regarding these issues. He offered her a $200.00 gift card. She declined. The next day The Bride’s Mother who paid for this wedding approached Dennis as well. He offered her a voucher for 10 dinners. She requested a refund percentage of total cost to offset these discrepancies. the owner adamantly refused and stated he will not give any refund. I then approached the owner with additional issues that arouse due to the shabby performance of his organization.. He offered me several $ 500.00 memberships to his club. I declined. I discussed a reasonable settlement. the owner at this time disappeared and we have not heard from him since. Now we are forced to pursue our request through litigation. The owner is more interested in putting the money in his pocket then he is on up holding his commitment and obligations. The venue was beautiful. However, the many downfalls added to the stress and chaos of the day. Fortunately the happiness and excitement of this day overshadowed these issues.

Out on a date, Mohegan Manor was not the place for me. We requested outdoor seating and they said they weren’t seating outside although there were people dining out there. Ok no big deal I’m easy. We ordered salad and the fish special, not an inexpensive special either. The fish came out rare in the center, I called the waiter over and he agreed. He came back with the same plate and stated the chef said that is how he served it. Seemed odd but we said we really weren’t comfortable with that. He took the plate back and returned the same plate with an OVERCOOKED, rubbery fish. Needless to say we didn’t eat it. They apologized, didn’t offer a drink dessert anything. I wasn’t really looking for anything extra just thought this was a uncharacteristic response for a supposed “nice” restaurant. Have to say probably won’t be returning.

I wish there was a way to give less than 1 star. My girlfriend and family went here. We sat down in a room of less than 12 people (about 4-5 tables). At first it started pleasantly, however that changed quickly after about 30-45 minutes of negligence. It wasn't until about 1 hour and 15 minutes before we were even asked what we wanted for dinner. Fast forward 1 hour and 15 minutes and our food has not arrived. My family has left because they couldn't believe what was happening. I then tell them I want everything to go because I can't be here any longer and they still takes 15 more minutes (for 2 hamburgers). They bring the check and over charge me, they take it off and I still had to pay way too much. I get home with my to go food and the burger is uncooked there is almost nothing I asked for and it looks awful. I would not recommend this establishment on my worst enemy. Nobody should have to go through the insanity that I went through. Rip in peace to this awful establishment.
