Everything here was awful. It is an insult to say this is authentic Mexican food. The Verde sauce tasted like pure vinegar, everything was covered in a mountain of iceberg lettuce and topped with canned tomatoes. Nothing was fresh, even the tortilla chips. The chicken was bone dry and sucked moisture out of my tongue. The banana Loco for dessert wasn't fried all the way and was mushy and reminded me of baby food. And to top it all off, my Margherita was so full of ice I couldn't find the alcohol in it to drink away my sorrows.

Far from authentic. Horrible. Feeling cheated, left with a nearly full plate, and a $60 check

Left hungry and dissatisfied. Total waste of time and money. I ordered the Mexicanos burritos one chicken one steak. Chips are served at seating. The salsa is Tostitos. The chips were not fresh. Served with beans and rice. Rice sucked, might make some microwaved rice at home. The beans taste like Taco Bell beans… totally a mixture. The steak was horribly cut. Spit out a huge chunk of fat. Lacked seasoning and flavor. The chicken was the quality of a Chinese takeout restaurant. Chicken was flavorless. This is what happens when you give white people Mexican food. I would highly recommend you dine elsewhere. Camino real restaurant in north Syracuse serves authentic quality food served in minutes. They speak Spanish in the back. I don’t know why this place is so popular, much better elsewhere.

Worst food I’ve ever had in my life, plus ended up with salmonella at no extra charge. Thank you for that

It was ok. Very common food. I Sat at the bar so the service was good. I found it odd that the bartender sat down and surfed their phone when not busy, but I was taken care of, so it didn't detract from my service. I would try it again.

They were great and found us a spot to eat for a larger party, which I definitely appreciate. However, the food was so basic, I couldn't even finish it. I got the loco Jardin (veggie salad), that used the word "hearty" in the description and said it included everything non-meat in the kitchen.Well, I basically got a plate of shredded iceberg lettuce, sour cream, salsa and cut up bell peppers. Not even rice or beans. I was so disappointed. It's currently in our fridge right now, hoping my husband can find something to do with it today.

The chips and salsa that they deliver to your table when you arrive are amazing. Salsa made fresh everyday and is delicious. We have dined there over a half a dozen times and every meal has been stellar. Fajitas with more shrimp than you can imagine, quesadillas to die for, enchiladas big enough to share! Food is plentiful and delicious. A great place to take out of town family and friends!

San Miguel Mexican Bar & Grill was great! Was there on a Friday night with a party of 4 and we nabbed a reservation for 615pm. That may not have been completely necessary but it was busy and it never hurts to have one.The location of the restaurant may be tricky if you aren't familiar with Baldwinsville. There is a fairly spacious lot in the middle of The Bville diner, the dollar general and San Miguel for reference. And San Miguel itself from the parking lot goes down a ramp or stairs to the entrance of the restaurant. The restaurant itself stays true to the form of all the iterations that came before it, a good sized space with ample seating and in warmer weather there is some seating outside by the river. The booth we sat at had an unfortunate feature of being right under the heating and air conditioning and we were going from hot to cold depending on the heat going on and off. If you enter and go left and straight back to the corner, you may want to avoid that table until that can be adjusted. Most importantly the food and service were both incredible! Our server was fantastic and she took great care of us during a busy evening there. All the food was delicious and there were happy tummies all around. The jalapeno poppers were some of the best I've ever had. The main courses everyone either finished every bite or made sure to take the rest home. We all ordered our own dessert and again 4 happy sets of taste buds. If you can't tell what I'm getting at, it's that you won't be disappointed with whatever you get. Best Mexican ever, that's for you to decide, absolutely delicious, it definitely was.I highly recommend San Miguel and when you go, I of course, hope you enjoy!!

Until two Sundays ago, my experiences at this place were consistently positive. On January 7, 2024, I brought a friend who had never been there before, and we enjoyed a meal, spending $99. We laughed and chatted, staying until closing. When settling the bill and leaving a $20 tip, we accidentally left our bag of food on a table near the door while taking a photo. Realizing my mistake about 10 minutes later, I promptly called the restaurant. Kelly, the owner, answered and shockingly responded, "Yeah, that's in the dumpster already." I was taken aback and questioned why they didn't allow time for customers to return and retrieve their belongings. Kelly rudely insisted they were closing and asked what she was supposed to do with it. Despite being a frequent patron, Kelly's response lacked understanding. After hanging up, she called back 5 minutes later, acknowledging the bag was near the door and suggested leaving it outside in winter weather for me to pick up. I explained my regular patronage, introducing new customers to her restaurant, and expressed my disappointment in the treatment received. Spending $99 on uneaten food, I felt the lack of consideration for a loyal customer. Kelly's response was dismissive, stating she would "keep that in mind." It was disheartening to experience such poor customer service from a place I regularly support.
