Ended up going here for an outing for my kid's hockey team. Beautiful little course set outside of the city. Fun course.

We love the Wood, and it’s close by. Food is good. But, this is the 4th week in a row where I’ve gone there or called to order take out and the kitchen “is closed” (during normal hours). I get that you have things that come up, or events, but there’s a new invention called a website (or even a sign in the parking lot or walkway) to indicate a change in hours. The best part is when I walked in and asked for a table, they acted offended like I should’ve known by some cosmic act they had an event. And, the place was about half full so I’m sure you could’ve fit 3 people. So long, not going back!

Second visit there. First visit they were apparently understaffed and weren't serving food, not a big deal. Went back tonight for another try. Order came out wrong, but was corrected. I ordered a second beer, it never arrived. Reminded the waitress, and she brought it over. Food was mediocre, I guess I expected better based on past reviews. The entire experience wasn't great and the food was basic bar food. I think the place has an absolute ton of potential, but it didn't do it for me. Sadly, one and done.

This place was good.
We were in the area and were looking for a place that had fish dinners.
There was plenty of seating inside and outside. It was very warm when we were there, so we decided to sit inside.
I had the fish and fries. It was hot and fresh. I would come back and order this again. It was the best fish I had in awhile.

Bacon Ranch Chicken Wrap with a side of fries...
We we're there for dinner and a show. The food was really nice. Mom and Dana went splits on Chicken tenders with fries. Yes we also had loaded waffle fries. And yes, I has some whiskey. All was terrific but all paled by way of comparison to the Bourbon Bread Pudding dessert. OMG. I will go back again and again for this piece of the divine.
Let's not forget the amazing service. The wait staff is on top of it and super friendly.
I also want to give a shout out to Noisy Boys. Pure fun, and looking forward to seeing them again.

This venue is easily my favorite place to go to when it comes to having a great time with great food and even better people. They do a stellar job at disguising top tier quality with a down to earth, warm environment.
I have been to The Wood several times now, and will be back again! Not a huge menu, but what they have is delicious 😋 Friendly service, and I like the dining room, it's cozy/comfy. I like how they dress the tables, and I'm a fan of the chairs here. Save room for the bread pudding!!

We had a couple of burgers and they were excellent, except the chef needs to use salt and pepper prior to cooking the burger. Cook on the burger was perfect - medium, burgers are hand made, with short rib grind...Yum! Fries were crisp and hot. The only downside to our visit was the service... Waiter staff (one) was bad. There was an eight top and they got all the attention. I had to walk to the bar to get a side of mayo and mustard after waiting 5 minutes when food was served. Back to the bar for water refills. The wait staff need training, the kid was nice but way over his head..... Didn't even know the restaurant had deep fried cheese cake on the menu.... We will go back as the food is terrific as are the prices. Just better training for the store waitor.

Thank goodness for the Wood. After a local pizza shop let us down last minute for a large catering order- we contacted the Wood and they came through for us.
