Fo Castle is a great place to take family, the pies were good the apples are delicious. The parking was okay and they can accommodate larger groups. The service was not too great, but the food was good and picnic tables outside were nice and you can walk around and in the store and enjoy some autumn fun.
The bakery here is excellent. Last time i ate at the restaurant, over 2 yrs ago, was over-priced and average at best. I do not know what it is like now. On the downside, the gift shop is terrible. Back room items have spider webs on them. Not clean. Sad, because years ago, it was a decent place. If you go, go for the bakery, apples, and bakery again. If you are going for gifts, make the trip to Lakeside. Gave 4 stars for bakery and the workers there. 2 stars for the gift area.
We stop in and grab pies and donuts for special treats. Also, they carry local made Elderberry syrup (look it up, does wonders for the immune system- hard to come by, or usually have to order online with stuff added in, this is the real deal).
