Clean store nice people but the rice is commercial par boiled yellow rice dressed up with pork bits and a bean sprout or two.
The ribs were great and beef with broccoli too but skip the fried rice and go white.

Bardonia Oriental is one of those hidden gems you’re honestly happy you stumbled into. I gave it 5 stars because everything about this place—from the quality of the dishes to the warm, welcoming atmosphere—makes it a spot I’d absolutely come back to whenever I’m in the area. The food tastes fresh, authentic, and made with real care. You can tell the ingredients are high quality, and every dish has that homemade flavor that’s hard to find.
The service was just as impressive. The staff were friendly, patient, and quick without rushing you. They checked in at the right times and made sure everything was perfect. It’s rare these days to get that old-school, genuine kind of customer service where you feel like they actually appreciate you being there.
The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, great for families, and even better if you just want to relax and enjoy good food without noise or chaos. Everything is clean and well-kept, and you can tell they take pride in the place.
Overall, Bardonia Oriental is absolutely worth a 5-star rating. Great food, great people, great experience. If you’re in the area—or even a bit of a drive away—it’s definitely worth stopping in.

There were roaches in the restaurant and when I wrote the note to the owner all he did was storm off to the back. He didn’t even clean it. After asking one the other employees his name it turns out his name was Jerry. I’ve never been treated so horribly and will not be returning.

Really solid spot for Chinese food. Food and service were on point! Highly recommend for take out. Chinese takeout places can be hit or miss, this place does not disappoint!
Bardonia Oriental is consistently our favorite go-to place for Chinese food. The chicken is most often quite delicious and tender, regardless of the dish that it's placed with. I'm most often preferred chicken with broccoli however I had chicken with Chinese vegetables last night and found it to be absolutely scrumptious! The beef with snow peas is delicious as well. One of our dear friends is Chinese and she refuses to eat Chinese food anywhere but there if that's any indication of the quality of their food. The egg rolls can be hit or miss at times having so much grease they're impossible to consume and other times being so delicious I would eat multiples if I had them! There thick Chinese noodles are rarely greasy and always delicious especially with duck sauce. We prefer the mustard that comes in a container to the hot sauce in a package. I would not recommend requesting sauce on the side as I have done a times because somehow the chicken and broccoli become overdone. Overall, as I've said there isn't any other Chinese restaurant in Rockland County that has earned my respect and is much repeat business as Bardonia Oriental. I forgot to mention how much we enjoyed the crab with cream cheese appetizer! They are very good at following specific orders so if you like your vegetables al dente to preserve the nutrients and simply let them know how long you would like to cook it the vegetables. Otherwise the broccoli tends to be somewhat soggy. With a little bit of accommodation and finagling and won't improved consistency for the egg rolls, I would delightfully add the extra star all the way! Happy eating!
Vegetarian options: Please read my review regarding the cooking of the vegetables. If you would like your vegetables to preserve maximum nutritional value, I would recommend requesting them to be a little hard. And definitely not mushy.

Paid $10 for Shrimp Chow Fun, which is supposed to be a flat rice noodle dish. Got this weird shrimp with soupy salad, that has no flavor and 4 shrimps. Waste of money, don’t order here.
Tasty clean Chinese food. The only con really is that there’s no soda available.

Best Chinese Food I’ve ever had. Quick and super kind service, extensive selection and phenomenal flavor! Jerry was so attentive to our family and made us feel welcome. We ordered a variety of different things and shared them within our group of 11. Everything was fresh and piping hot. Limited seating so plan to take out if possible. For all of the great things to be said about this gem the prices are more than fair and the portions were generous. That’s not a combination often found. Thanks Jerry for making our night!!
