Loved it the first time. Excellent red sauce (gravy). Im from NYC. I work in kitchens for 30yrs in Manhattan. The second time I ordered spaghetti and clam sauce. Pasta was way over cooked almost to mush, swimming in oil. I couldnt even eat it. I dont send food back, it should have never left the kitchen. The waiter gave us a jar of grated cheese covered in mold spots you could see from across the room.

Excellent pizza but both my wife and I felt we got 'the look' that says, you're not from around here are you? Not sure where that's coming from but it's not a welcoming feeling. Again food was great and fast service. While eating I was somewhat irritated by Pandora which was not the paid service - so between each Christmas song we had loud McDonald's commercials or holiday shopping commercials at various retailers. This negativity impacts the Atmosphere...

My wife and I have been coming to Il Castello for over thirty fiver years (when it was near the river) and the food and service are wonderful. Estupendo y delicioso! Delicious pizza with superb crust, hot melted mozzerella cheese and a tangy tomato sauce. Accompany that pie with a crunchy ceasar salad and top it off with a cheesecake with whipped cream and raspberry drizzle...and you are in heaven! EN PARADISO! Thank you Peter and family. Il buon...
