We stopped in today and had the best tasting, learning and visiting experience with Catherine!! So much history and such a lovely woman! We were really surprised at how much we enjoyed the fruit wines!! We bought several bottles of their wines and are looking forward to sharing them with family and friends when we get back to Minnesota!! Thanks so much Catherine for a lovely time!!
For some reason it won't let me leave 10 stars so I'm left with leaving 5?
Visiting their booth at Union Square market is always one of the highlights of my trip whenever I visit New York because I love their strawberry wine and the beautiful bottle it comes in, and Patrice is always so kind and welcoming when visiting!
Dandelion wine was my favorite my family bought 3 bottles
Bought a bottle of their Brut from the Farmers Market this weekend because they didn’t offer samples, so I took a leap of faith. Worst I’ve ever had. Not worth the $36. Tastes gross. I’ve had significantly better for way cheaper. And it’s not champagne, because it’s not made in France. ??♀️
Charming winery with tons of unique options - dandelion, violet, lavender, and more! All-natural production process makes for a distinctly pleasant taste.
we just took a side trip here because I saw an ad for a cute heart shaped wine bottle of strawberry wine. it was amazing! such refreshing delicious unusual flavors, free tasting, and the lady was super friendly. I could have bought a million bottles.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! owners are crazy and insult their customers openly, i thought it might have been a one off experience but many other reviewers had almost the same experience with these psychopaths as we did. don't give these people your money!
Odd experience, seems out of date compared to others and if you have a pet, no outdoor space and not allowed inside. This is not a rating for the wine.
Enjoyed visiting this quaint and charming establishment. We were served by Patrice, the owner, and it was enjoyable listening to him discuss wines and his family's long history making wine, learned some interesting things. Everything we sampled was delicious, we particularly enjoyed Frosty New York Sangria, which is wonderful. Will definitely visit again. Definitely recommend.
Unique wines and plenty of options for everyone. Love the unique shaped bottles of heart, Eiffel Tower, Christmas trees. Good wine selection. Plenty of parking. Nice owner. The place was a little smelly as to why I took off a star. My party would have stayed longer if the smell wasn't there. Couldn't leave without purchasing a couple bottles though. A must stop if you're in the area. Great gift options. Sadly, I didn't get any pics of the cute bottles.

We were served by the owner Patrice today who made it a very enjoyable experience. It is such a beautiful and quaint winery and I would recommend this place to anyone! ALL of the wines were wonderful however the lavender and rose wine are just extra superb. We always make sure year after year that we return to Chateau Renaissance!
My husband and I stopped here during a road trip to purchase some bottles as a wedding gift, despite the location being a bit out of our way. The storefront was nice enough and we enjoyed browsing the selection of wines, but as soon as the woman working behind the counter made an appearance, she began to make shockingly rude comments towards us regarding our choice to mask indoors as a travel precaution. We were stunned by her uncalled for remarks and immediately left without making a purchase. I would recommend that anyone curious about visiting this establishment choose one of the many other lovely wineries in the area instead, which are staffed by individuals with enough sense not to insult their customer's personal health decisions.
How sad. We used to love coming here. Always our first stop on a wine tour weekend. Always with the sweet older lady. This last time however she was replaced with someone far less pleasant. She was kind to us but her politically charged comments were a real buzz kill. Here we are trying to escape our troubles for a short weekend away with friends and her doom and gloom were inappropriate even if we did agree with her. Which we do not. A shame really.
It is such a shame this place is spoiled by the rude owner. The wine is nice enough and the spot is beautiful but we can't return here due to the inappropriate comments from the owner Patrice. He managed to be sexist, misogynist and racist in a short conversation. It made our whole group very uncomfortable and we left feeling furious at the remarks. Even though we tried to politely exit the conversation and leave, he followed us to continue is misogynist rant. We can't support this business anymore due to the questionable morals and political beliefs you are subjected to as customers.
The wines are SO good. The raspberry one especially is fantastic!! (with the chocolate like they say!!) You literally can’t go wrong with any of them and for the price it’s so worth it. I’ll definitely be back for more!!
