So I went here for lunch 2 weeks ago with my friend and the food was just delicious .. It's my bday tomorrow and I told my husband i'm making a reservation here being they are closed on Mondays ! We took
our son with us tonight and let me tell
you from the baked mac n cheese to the escargot and beet salad to my phenomenal tasting halibut and husbands duck stew dish, It was beyond delicious & the waitress Cayla was such a doll and very attentive! The family ( mom - Stace and daughter Katherine) came out to sing happy birthday to me which was so sweet and they all made this night such a special one as they are the sweetest as well! Stop by & visit this delightful and delicious family owned restaurant! You won't be sorry and Oh their bakery is amazing too !!Ty Ty again, see you soon!

We had the BEST time at Sunflower Cafè for a birthday celebration. The food was top notch, and the service was impeccable! The birthday cake was absolutely fabulous- moist and very tasty! We will certainly be back for another family birthday, as well as for lunch, brunch & dinner! Thank you Stacè & Katherine!

A delicious dinner menu, outstanding service in a cozy yet elegant atmosphere.
Went back again today and had a delicious lunch. Started with flavorful mushroom soup, then had mussels with a fantastic sauce and ended with a show stopping slice of sacher torte. Such a fantastic restaurant where you feel the love of a family run business and can enjoy delicious food. Today’s dessert was the best Sacher torte I have ever eaten!

Update to my original review. Sunflower continues to be worthy of 5 stars after several visits. Most recent meal was lunch: The mushroom soup was hearty and flavorful with fresh mushrooms, carrots and herbs. The mussels were served in the most magical marinade that was perfect for dipping the perfectly light and crispy French fries. Handcrafted quiche is also a winner with a wonderfully flavorful crust. The star of this meal was the SACHER TORTE. If this dessert is available when you visit, do not miss it. If you are too full from your meal take a slice home. You will not regret it!
This cafe is sure to become a neighborhood gem with its attention to detail, quality ingredients, and a friendly relaxed vibe. Gorgeous salads, the freshest fish, creative beverages, and delicious baked items. Inventive items like flavored butters and chestnut ice cream were the fun surprises on the menu. Perfect for a local spot but also worth the trip for non locals.

A total gem the owner and her daughter bring alot of love to thier profession. The owner's french cooking is some of the best cooking i have experienced in awhile. If you think this place is a bakery it is not! This place is top notch gastronomic pleasure house. My wife and i had the pate, the hungarian mushroom soup, the house salad and the duck orange and shrimp rissoto entrees. I finished with a piece of the flourless chocolate cake. You will not be disappointed they look to exceed your expectations. Her daughter right now is in culinary school in france and she puts out daily video diaries on the dishes from sea breem to scallops, etc. Dont miss out, it will be a favorite of yours if you love french food. Le Soir clientele come back...thier back and ready to show they mean business.

A hidden gem that deserves the spotlight!
We had our next-day wedding lunch here for about 40 people.
When I reached out to them in May to set it up, it was nothing but smooth sailing. There was an open line of communication all the way up to the day of. They went over everything, in detail, and were accommodating to all of my requests. Thank you Kathrine!
The restaurant is charming and cozy, you feel welcomed with open arms as soon as you walk in. The staff is warm and kind, incredibly attentive, and just overall wonderful people. The food was beyond delicious, crafted with love and care, and beautifully presented. We opted to have the full menu available to our guests, so people were ordering all different menu items. Not a single complaint, everyone was raving about their meals.
It was our first time here, but surely not the last.
Thank you for everything!

The service & food was wonderful. Its very pricey which is expected for great food but $5.20 for a seltzer & Sprite is a bit much!

Atmosphere has that French Cafe appeal. Dining area was bright but not glaring. The food was great, I had the short rib with mash potatoes & ratatouille. The rib was sliced & tender, no knife needed to cut, the ratatouille was bite size pieces and not mushy. My wife had the duck a la orange with mashed potatoes and veggies. The duck had the orange flavor that was not overpowering. The hore- dourves were the Pate & mine was the escartgo which was not overly garlic flavor, but you do have to like garlic. The wine list per bottle, i thought was overpriced. However by the glass was comparable to most restaurants. Dessert was Orange Creme Bruele, it was served cool and not overpowering on the orange flavor. As for overall pricing. If price is a concern then don't go. For us we thought it was worth it. Great food, great service.

We were introduced to Sunflower Café dining in, and were wowed by the developed flavors and culinary artistry in every bite. Since then we learned about their catering which was a multiplier for us to share this culinary experience with friends.
A recent catered brunch started with hors d’oeuvres of tarragon chicken salad on endive, oyster mushrooms with crème fraîche on potato croquettes, and crab cakes. And the experience continued to to be elevated with a lobster claw and frisée salad, grilled salmon and pork tenderloin. Even the sides were a flavorful addition with string bean salad, couscous, fresh corn, cucumber, and beets. And the desserts? A flourless chocolate cake, apple frangipane tart, and coconut cake with lemon curd and blueberries. Our guests didn’t even try to pick favorites — they loved everything.
Family and friends together is a joy. The food adds a dimension that connects us all, and this experience is proof of that.
What makes it even better is that it’s all coming from a family-owned chef trio where you can feel the pride and passion in their work. We're so lucky to have found Sunflower Café which is a gem.

We didn’t try this place for a long time because of the name. We thought it was a breakfast place. Don’t be fooled. Overall we had a really great meal. Our server was funny and helpful. The food was really good. Standouts were the beet salad. The steak frites. The French onion soup. And the cod.
