We recently visited Longhand Irish Pub after hearing a lot of great things on social media. Overall, the experience was mixed.

The food was decent, I ordered the slow-cooked prime rib special, as did my husband. He enjoyed his, but I found mine to be rather bland. The special was advertised as $21, but we were charged $35, which was a bit disappointing. My son, however, really enjoyed his burger, and the teriyaki wings that were recommended were a big hit with my family. Unfortunately, the steak-cut fries were dry and not very flavorful, and the fountain drinks (both water and soda) had a strong sulfur taste, which was off-putting.

One major positive was our waitress/bartender, she was absolutely top-notch. Friendly, attentive, and patient, she went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of, even switching out drinks multiple times until I found something I liked.

One thing I do have to mention is that when we first walked in, we were met with some uncomfortable stares from other patrons, which made my family uneasy. Thankfully, by the time we left, the atmosphere had warmed up, largely due to my husband’s efforts to break the ice.

Later that night, I did end up feeling very sick. I’m attributing it to a bad gallbladder rather than the food, but it still put a damper on the evening.

In the end, while there were some highlights (especially the service and the wings), the overall experience didn’t fully live up to the hype for us. I’m glad we tried it, but I’m not sure we’d rush back.

Went for their corned beef on Saint Patrick's Day.

Food was horrible. We ordered Calamari and they were served pretty much cold. We sent them back. The burgers tasted cold too.

We celebrated my daughter's confirmation here 3/15. The food and service were excellent. Highly recommend! Thank you for making our daughter's special day so wonderful!

Went there for dinner Friday night March 7, 2025. There were 4 tables occupied. It took 10 minutes to be seated with menus. That was the last time we saw anyone. The waitress working the room had no idea what she was doing. We waited 20 additional minutes for any acknowledgement that never came and then we walked out. Service in this restaurant is non existent. We will never go back again. If I could give this place a minus star I would.

We ordered a pick up order tonight. We were told 30 minutes. My husband got there to pick up approximately 40 minutes later. He was at the bar for 10 minutes before he even saw any employee. It was almost an hour before the food was in hand. The food was terrible. I had the seafood cakes which in the past have been my absolute favorite. The sauce was flavorless and the seafood cakes were mush.y husband had wings which were ordered extra crispy and they were mush. There was also a whole wing (drum and flat not separated) which is just a lack of attention to detail. We used to love this place but unfortunately it's just not the same.

Loughran's has been on my list a long time. Met a co-worker who was in from overseas for dinner. He had the pleasure of sampling the food at some catered events. He recommended the fish cakes as did the waitress. Fabulous recommendation! Nice chucks of scallops, shrimp and crab, not fishy at all and not greasy. The sauce was the icing on the cake. It was delicious! Rhe veggies wwrw not too done and had a nice butter flavor and you can't go wong with mashed potatoes. The restaurant is quaint and they had live music in the bar area. It looks like there is a nice outside area which will be great when the weather is warmer. Great company and great food!

Haven’t gone to Loughrans in years, nothing happened I just always seem to forget they’re there (I live 20 mins away so lots of options) Went to night and got an opened fave turkey sandwich. It was AMAZING even after taking it home for a 20 min car ride. 10/10 tasted like it would’ve got off the plate, I can only imagine how amazing it would’ve been at the restaurant. My dad got a hot corned beef sandwich, asked for it VERY lean. He said and I quote “that was the best damn corned beef sandwich I’ve had since Brooklyn in the 70’s” he won’t shut up about the damn sandwich now 🤣
