Gabe's Grille is the restaurant and bar at the Willowcreek Golf Club in Big Flats. Gabe's is located on the second floor of the main building, adjacent to the golf simulator in the next room. The place is cozy with seating at the bar, TV, and several tables in the dining area and an outside patio area too. I stopped by Gabe's Grille for takeout recently and it was open on a Sunday in the middle of winter. The winter menu food offerings included burgers, chicken wraps, BLT wrap, Philly cheesesteak, club sandwich, breaded chicken sandwich, and tuna melt, all served with potato chips, $6-$9 plus tax. They also have snacks including popcorn, bagged chips, candy cold bottled drinks, and alcoholic libations. I ordered a Tuna Melt ($6.48 with tax) which was made and grilled to order in the adjacent kitchen. I enjoyed my takeout lunch near the mall. The tuna melt was not fancy, which had a very soft tuna mixture with gooey melted cheese between two slices of grilled buttered bread (I chose wheat). The pile of rigged salted potato chips were very standard and crispy. Overall, I give this place 3.5 stars, rounding up since the prices seem fair and it seems like a good place to chill out for food and drinks after playing a round of golf.
