We just moved into town and wanted some good chinese food. This was hands down the best we've found so far! Portion sizes are perfect, and the price is right. We will definitely be back!

Very fast and friendly service. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh since we ordered. Definitely the go to place if you're looking for some comfort food or something quick and easy to take home or dine in on. The prices were a little more than what I'd typically pay but still great food!!!
Parking: It was a busy day so the plaza was rather full, but usually I have no issue parking close to the restaurant.

I ordered 2 general Tso’s combination platters. 1 with lo mein noodles. The other the way it comes with fried rice. An order of cheese wontons. Came to $40. My husband gets back home and we have his combo platter with the noodles and mine is just general Tso’s and broccoli with a side container of white rice. And only one egg roll. I call the store and the manager tells me that they are sorry and will try to do better next time. Really?? How about we will make you a new one or give me another one the next time. We have been coming to your Chinese restaurant for years now and have never had an issue. Never called to say something is wrong with my order and that’s the way I was treated. We will try to do better next time. And the white rice is so nasty. All clumped together. Can’t even eat it.

Some of their food is great, some not so much. I think their Mei Fun noodles are spaghetti. Don't quote me on that, but I'm pretty sure. If I had another Chinese restaurant near me, I'd probably trade up, but they are literally just down the road.

I have eaten Chinese food at every place in Elmira and a few in Corning and HANDS DOWN Shanghai express has the BEST food for this type around.You can't beat it I promise.

I dislike writing a bad review, however be forewarned. We have ordered here before, and the quality is declining with each visit. This is my last visit. The sauce was watered down, the General Tsos chicken was soggy, not well cooked. Lack of spice in everything we ordered. The crab Rangoon was way too sweet, more like a dessert. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Personal opinion (best Chinese fast food in the area) you can go in and sit, but don't, just order ahead pick your food up and go home and eat. The staff isn't overly friendly, but you go for the food and it's ready in less than 10mins.
