First time eating Trinada food. Reece di a great job explain everything he said they toned done the spiciness of the food. Had the stew chicken and it was a little spicy but had great flavor. Nice folks good food. Will definitely come back if in the area.

The food here is incredible. You can feel the threads of Africa, China, and India weaving together in the cuisine. The curry chicken and chickpea roti would be right at home in an Indian restaurant. Fried rice and lo mein are familiar from a Chinese restaurant. But plantains and ox tail? Ghana? Nigeria? Such a treat. Their spicy is not very hot but the house made fermented ghost pepper sauce is 🔥🔥🔥

I was in town for an afternoon, so I decided to stop buy. I travel internationally quite a bit, especially the Caribbean. This food was fantastic. The only two things I would point out. The parking can be rough (not the restaurants fault). The hot sauce was amazing, but it has quite a kick. The tricky part is that it has such good flavor, but the kick is quite intense. Overall, it was a 10 out of 10 experience. Yeah Boi💪

A Fantastic Dining Experience at De Island Hut in Binghamton
I recently had the pleasure of visiting De Island Hut in Binghamton with my grandparents, and I am excited to share what a wonderful experience it was! From the moment we arrived, the host Reece greeted us with a warm and welcoming attitude that made us feel right at home.
We ordered lunch and were absolutely delighted by the delicious food served. I chose the roti with curried shrimp, and it was flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and truly satisfying. The delicious oxtail soup was an extra treat.
I wholeheartedly recommend this gem to anyone looking for delicious Caribbean inspired cuisine in Binghamton. Whether you’re dining with family or friends, this restaurant is a must visit!

Some of the best Caribbean food I’ve ever had. The doubles are absolutely delicious and will send your taste buds to another world. The jerk wings were tender and flavorful. We also had the curry chicken over white rice. The curry was so flavorful and you want more with every bite. My only complaint would be is that there wasn’t a whole lot of chicken in the curry. For the price I want at least average portion of chicken. To me it wasn’t very much chicken. These things happen, but I will definitely be back. I could eat the doubles as a meal on its own. I got my order to go, but the place is beautiful and clean. The customer service was 10 out of 10, from the person on the phone taking my order, to the person that waited on me inside. Try this place if you’re looking to try something new or you have a hunger for Caribbean food.

The food was bad. I just wouldnt right home about it. Having eaten Trinidadan food in the past I would say ive had better. In the same way that you would eat pizza hut and say you've had better pizzas. Im not super disappointed because my expectations weren't that high for Binghamton. Ive just had better. Maybe because I got all vegan options idk. 🤷🏾♀️ still giving 5 stars bc its a restaurant run by a poc.
