The best sandwich in Binghamton. Love this place.

I used to come here and loved it. Unfortunately I came on 5/10/22 and the location appeared shuttered/closed. The Google maps description said it was open and it was during normal business hours. Peering inside the dark windows, it looks like it is either being renovated OR is permanently closed.

The food that we had was okay. The guy there really doesnt have much personality and we waited for like 10 mins until we went to the back to find him. They didnt have many ingredients for about half the menu. It just seemed he didnt take much pride in the sub. It makes me sad because this place used to be great. Hoping to give a better review if i come back.

Feels empty when you walk inside but it doesn't last long. Boar's Head meat, lots of different combos to choose from and they have triple stuffed deckers (sandwiches built up) one of the best subs I've had. I recommend trying it.

The pasta salad was nothing like the picture which is what I ordered, it tasted like oil and pasta with some veggies. (See pictures to understand) Same with the macaroni salad, it was tasteless and looked nothing like what I ordered. The first picture (macaroni salad) is what I thought I'd get, the second picture (macaroni salad) is what I got. And the third picture (pasta salad) is what I thought I'd get, and the fourth picture (pasta salad) is what I got.

The gentleman at the counter was very helpful in helping me figure out what I actually wanted to eat. I opted for a 12" turkey club on cheesy bread, this is not "chain store" cheesy bread, it's soft and fresh and cheeeeesy. It had a frankly absurd amount of Turkey on top, fresh cut while I was waiting, and bacon, fresh lettuce and mayo...it's a very plain sub compared to most but that means the flavors of the meat, bread, and cheese have to carry the sandwich...and they do.I can comfortably say this is the second best sub I have ever had, 1st being on Capri, Italy and I can't really go there everyday. Skip the chains, skip the grocery, get a sub from a true Binghamton landmark, you won't regret it.

Used to be by far my favorite sub shop. The subs used to be so full that the bread couldn’t close. I visited recently for the first time in about a year or 2 and the bread is thicker than all of the fillings. It’s sad how downhill this place went

This is only my third one star review, so I’m not that type of reviewer. I tend to rate generously and I also try to take into account how difficult the restaurant and hospitality business is. But this is just bad. It’s not an Old World Deli. It’s a place that slaps Boar’s Head meat on bread in various combinations and does it poorly. I got the Jane’s addiction, which is “marinated chicken,” (it was plain deli chicken), lettuce (it was wilted), tomato, bacon, and Mayo. There was SO MUCH mayo on this sandwich, just SLATHERED on, that it took me a minute to realize the bacon was raw. Literally raw. And you can’t see them making your sandwiches, so you can’t really tell until you get the sandwich. They microwaved the entirety of the sandwich meat and cheese, and I suspect the raw bacon was part of that. My husband got the Nosh, and threw away most of his sandwich as well. The shelves were empty, with just a couple bags of chips laying around. And again, I get supply chain issues, but I get the feeling this place just didn’t care. Also no masks. And I get it, I’m the one going out, and if I don’t want to go out, maybe I should just stay home. It’s more that I feel we were treated differently because we WERE wearing masks. Service was pretty cold, but he was sure nice to all the town folks he knew, all of which were maskless. I wouldn’t have even mentioned the service if the food hadn’t been SO AWFUL. Almost 40 dollars with tip (yes, I tip regardless) for two inedible sandwiches, two bags of chips (which comprised at least 20 percent of their sad inventory), a mediocre cookie (and my husband loves sweets), and two drinks.

The food was adequate if a little pricey, but the service provided was excellent.

Best food in town

I can't believe I have never tried this place before. I had a simple sub but it was outstanding. The bread and cold cuts were excellent. The quality and freshness makes all the difference in the world. That combined with the fact that the man making it knew how to put it together well made all the difference. I haven't had a decent sub in years. I highly recommend them. I will be going back myself.
