We're arrived at a near empty restaurant at 5pm and were told that we had to have a reservation. We asked if we could make one for later that evening and were told definitely not. I am completely baffled. We were not on drugs and did not smell bad. I'm very offended.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food is incredible and it feels like home when you’re dining there. Be sure to grab some of their pesto to go as well. You will not be disappointed!

I live out of the area now, but when I get back in town, one of my favorite spots to visit is the Whole in the Wall! I used to come regularly 20 years ago before I moved and the food is just as good now as back then.First, it is an experience. Just two owners running the show, so expect to relax and enjoy your meal and company. Or come by yourself with a book! I always bookend my meal with the Garlic Ball and the Raspberry Brownie. I order the Garlic Ball almost before sitting down! It is pure butter and garlic bliss. Then I like the cheesy chicken bake (which I recommended to my friend) or one of seafood dishes. Sorry, we devoured the food before taking pics, but got the sidewalk view when leaving.I love the food and the atmosphere and always leave calmer and happier than when I arrived.

I had the Chicken Stir Fry and my girlfriend had the famous Enchilada. Everything was so flavorful and most importantly, fresh! The wait for the food wasn’t as long as I expected; however, you can tell that the chef/owner puts a lot of care and effort into each meal! We came here wanting to take a break from all the restaurants in downtown Binghamton and it is by far, one of the best restaurants in the area! It has a cozy vibe as well that felt very homey and welcoming. I cannot get over the food though! Everything just tasted so delicious and fresh! And the owner and his wife were so kind. If you’re ever in Binghamton, this is definitely a place to stop and eat!

Warm, Friendly, cozy and inviting!Vegetarian options: The Falafel is the best I’ve ever had. Light and delicate with a delicious balance of spices. Highly recommend!Mushroom soup is also a favorite and yummy. The quality of food and farm to table ingredients at Whole in the Wall make it one of the best restaurants in the Southern Tier!

Very tasty Whole Foods. They are known for their pesto which you can find in some supermarkets. Such friendly good service and comforting food and atmosphere.

For Christmas we received a gift box with two large containers of the creamy mushroom soup and four of the garlic balls. Oh, my goodness, the most delicious food I have ever eaten. The soup is just delicious, absolutely delicious and the garlic balls are so good I don't have a word to describe them. Definitely want more. This will be the best gift we receive this Christmas!!!!!
