Nova Kitchen Restaurant and Bar

Dined here for the first time for my wife's birthday celebration. We ordered several dishes to eat family style: pork belly bao (5/5), fried calamari (4/5), broccolini (5/5), salmon skin roll (4/5), OMG honey roll (4/5), Australian wagyu ribeye (5/5), deep fried Brussels sprouts (5/5), and garlic noodle (2/5). We received a 4-piece mochi ice cream (5/5) as a gratis item for my wife's birthday celebration. We will return for future dining. Colin was our very attentive server!

Nova feels like a place trying too hard to impress but missing the mark at every turn. The sashimi was good, but the portions were laughably tiny for the price. The sushi was just okay — nothing memorable. The drinks were easily the worst part. The “fire drink” (can't even remember the name) was one of the worst I've ever had: no alcohol, strange cinnamon dust, and an overall gimmicky presentation that fell flat. The décor was no better. The long hanging ceiling flowers looked pretty at first but were impractical — anyone taller than 5'10” will leave with messed-up hair. The restaurant felt empty, and it's no surprise. With high prices, mediocre food, and awkward design choices, I don't see Nova lasting long. A pretty place on Instagram maybe, but that's about it.

First time visit..great friendly and informative service. Atmosphere and vibe was great! Food was very good. We will definitely return when in that part of orange county again

We had an amazing experience At Nova. Food was amazing as always and service 5 stars. We tried a bit of everything from the menu. I highly recommend this place. Don't forget to get your parking ticket validated. Perfect date night spot.

I would say this was a mediocre dining experience. Staff seemed like we were more of a nuisance than we were anything else and it took quite a bit to try to get service. They seemed annoyed if we ask questions on the menu or about certain drinks. As for the food, there is definitely not much value for what you get in the food was just kind of mediocre. There was nothing really special about it. And then while we were eating at the bar, they started cleaning the bar so we got a bunch of chemical smells while we were eating. It's a bummer, We waste at our $50 dining credit on this restaurant.

I was there for a baby shower. The food was beyond delicious!!! The staff couldn't have been more attentive and helpful!!! I'll go back one day for dinner, definitely!!!

It was way overpriced for what you get. The server and the manager was snooty and condescending. Small portions which look good, but taste poorly. It is a place that looks good in pictures, but far under delivers in person. Go somewhere else.

Update: Came back for the 100 piece sashimi and 15oz wagyu steak, and I cannot believe I waited two years to try it again. The staff provided a beautiful birthday mochi dessert, and it was lovely. Absolutely outstanding service.

Make a reservation and prepare yourself for a sumptuous dining experience at this fabulous Blauvelt restaurant! My husband & I enjoyed delicious smoked burrata offered in a surprising dome of deliciousness. The French onion soup was terrific as well. I enjoyed a perfectly prepared rack of lamb accompanied by a delightful cranberry demi-glace, silky mashed potatoes and asparagus. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his sirloin. The meal was delicious and the staff was very attentive. The menu offers numerous options for any palate. Many interesting off- menu specials are also offered. I will be returning soon and often to try more!

Great Food and great service. All of the moms in our group were given red roses for Mother's Day and the décor was beautifully done for Mother's day as well.

Terrible! Came and sat waiting for over 20 minutes and server never came to take our order. Instead - twice - servers were trying to deliver and bring us food when we didn't even order. Then when we finally decided to leave and order take our, the take out order was wrong and missing an item :-(

What a great hidden gem! Food was great and the service was absolutely outstanding.
