I ordered ackee which was Served with yam, bananas, dumplings, perfectly done. Very very, very tasty. Excellent..The chicken soup As well. This whole meal was very well done. No problems at all THE AE and the sol Fish very tasty. The soup had a combination of vegetables as well as great seasoning freshly done excellent the best I have tasted in this Rockland County well done indeed..I certainly will be ordering from this restaurant in the future.

I called and asked what she had left as it was already 7pm. The owner was nice enough to make us fresh plantain and the portion sizes were great. We had rice n peas, oxtail, plantains and cabbage. All was excellent. Going back to try more food!

I found “The Flavor”in Blauvelt, NY by accident a few months ago and this restaurant is now my only one stop place for Jamaican cuisine even though the other Jamaican restaurants are pretty good too. I especially love the curried chicken, escoveithed fish and oxtail. You must try the “Red Peas Soup!” The owner and team at “The Flavor” are very pleasant, approachable and polite. The portions are generous and the atmosphere is warm!
