We had 2 events in the month of February. Meg was my point of contact for both. She has the best communication skills I have ever come across at a restaurant! She was super easy to get ahold of and always answered my questions promptly and efficiently. She was very accommodating with our themed events and made sure the room was set up to meet our needs. The room was organized well and we had ample space for both events that had over 20 people at each one. The food came out quickly and the portions were good and the food was tasty. I enjoyed both my meals and the great service that was provided. When they were made aware of any questions or concerns, they were dealt with quickly, we just had to let them know. There was a discrepancy with the gratuity accidentally being charged 20% for one of the events, but as soon as they were made aware of the situation it was taken care of. They went above and beyond and they will be at the top of my list for my next event!

Local spot we haven't been to in a very long time. The staff was very nice and very attentive. The food was good, and the waitress even offered us a gluten-free bun that wasn't on the menu. We've heard the prime rib on Friday's is worth a return visit.

We had a great meal here! My husband was famished and I wasn't so we ordered the prime rib special for him and it was decided I'd nibble off of his plate. The waitress (bar tender) caught onto our plan and she had the chef serve it on two plates, including the shrimp cocktail app that came with the meal, and we each got a whole baked potato. We ended up with quite a feast and the food was delicious. The Prime rib was cooked perfectly. Observing the owner coach his daughter on bussing tables was a bonus since she was eager to be working and he was obviously a great dad. We will definitely be back!

Emily was a top notch server. She was very attentive and got everything correct ? A lot of the meals were way over cooked. Onion rings were dry and overcooked. Burger was charred. Fish fry was fried a dark brown (overcooked). Chicken thighs had black overcooked area and it was very dry.

The Bloomfield Scientific Club has been regularly going to Cheap Charlie's restaurant for 100% of it's meetings for the past two years. For 18 meetings and over 500 dinners there has never been anything but rave reviews for our dining experience. Dwayne and Katie Newstead have owned the restaurant since May 2022, and couldn't be more pleasant to work with. Our Club knows and interacts with the chefs Melissa, Brandon, and Vinnie at each meeting = they are SO HELPFUL! Our recent waitresses, Carol and Emily, are fantastic workers and super friendly! We have wonderful buffet dinners with different delicious entrees every month (October through June). I hope that this great relationship continues!

I had a broiled fish not the best and I also had sweet potato fry they were cold the Cole slaw had lettuce in it tasted not good. My husband had fish fry was not good the french frys had no taste they did give a baked potato in its place it was all mush the clamchower was not it was soup.
