I honestly cannot share my experience with how the cakes taste because I was never granted the opportunity. I booked a cake tasting for my wedding via email with Angela a week prior to pick up. I called and confirmed the morning of pick up, which was a hectic call to begin with because the person answering the phone had no idea what was going on. I asked to add an additional slice to my tasting (the tres leche), which they said would be no problem. I drove from Queens to Brentwood, stood on a line for 20 minutes and then when I finally made it to the counter, they handed me a box with only a slice of tres leche. I explained I was there to pick up my entire scheduled order and showed them my emails with Angela. They appeared confused and it turned out they could not find my order anywhere. I stood at the counter for another 30 minutes with NO communication at all, no explanation, just waiting. After driving an hour, waiting on line for 20 minutes and then waiting around for more than 30 minutes with no idea what was happening, no communication or explanation - I finally decided to turn around and leave as I realized I would NEVER trust this bakery to deliver on my actual wedding day. I emailed Angela after I left, explaining the situation and sharing that I was disappointed in the experience and upset that this was my experience for a cake tasting that was supposed to be a fun wedding event for my fiancé and I. It is a week later and I never got an email back from the bakery. Brides, please be mindful of this experience when planning for one of the biggest events in your life. We all know the stress of wedding planning and cake tasting and deliverance on your wedding day shouldn’t be one of them!

We love Campbell’s Bakery! We used them for our wedding last year and our wedding cake was amazing! Today is our one year anniversary and they gifted us a free anniversary cake! While there, we decided to buy their famous tres leches. We forgot it’s a cash only bakery and had no cash on us. The kind gentleman helping us ended up giving it to us for free as a one time courtesy. We are so grateful for their generosity! Their baked goods are truly one of a kind! NEVER COMING BACK. I usually pick up my tres leches cake from here for family events but those are already pre-made. I customize a cake my daughter’s 5th birthday & it came out HORRIBLE. I envisions my cake to be beautiful for my babygirl as this was very monumental birthday. I explain this to Kim (the manager) & i was confident in her helping me choose this cake.. she explained that certain types of cake would ruin my design. So i changed my cake interior.. ONLY FOR THIS CAKE TO COME OUT CROOKED & RUSHED. I explained to the staff (Some old lady with an attitude) That this cake was ugly & all the other cakes coming out of the bakery were beautiful. They said it was because i chose butter cream as an outside filling. THIS IS WHY I HAD CONSULTED WITH KIM TO HELP ME CHOSE SOMETHING THAT WOULD WORK WITH WHAT I ENVISIONED. I paid 90$ for a ugly freaking cake. Im so mad & disappointed. If you want a customizable cake please try the Dulce de Leche in bayshore which is where i usually go ..and i pay the same amount for better quality. I decided to come to Campbells as i love there tres leches but this service was absolutely a terrible experience & i will not be returning.

My friend has always gotten tres leches from here which were my favorite since the first time she got one for me 20 years ago.But over the years or after the owner changed the taste hasn't been the same.But that could And a preference thing. I liked the way it was soaked before. And some people like it the way it is now. But It's much drier in my opinion. Which I dont prefer.But they quality in the cake designs are amazing. Theyve done 2 kids birthdays and the cake and cupcakes are always beautiful.My friend goes all out on hosting birthdays and always makes everything so awesome looking. So these cakes and the decor on them are a perfect match for her and her home.
