Very busy bakery/deli worth standing on line to get your order taken. My co-worker is Columbian and recommended I try LA Espiguita and I'm glad he did. I highly recommend the buñuelis.. so good! The empanadas were very good. Will be back... soon!

I have been a customer of La Espiguita for about 10 years because it was one of the best places to buy cake tres leche. Today I bought a 3 milk cake and it came out completely dry. I went to the store so they could see that they didn't have but a drop of milk. The girl who saw the cake said that it was a 3 leches cake and she said that the Dominican cake was drier than that. but I'm not really ordering a Dominican cake, I'm buying a tres leche cake. She said that only those that were made to order were made with milk. So why do they fool people by saying that it is a 3 leches cake when in the end they give you a dry bread cake. And they don't give you your money back. When I asked the girl if they could exchange it for one that has milk, she told me that she couldn't guarantee that I would have three milk. For my part, I will never buy a cake in this place again, although the attitude of the person who served me makes it seem like he didn't care about the customers.

So I place an order to "La Espiguita Bakery" I went there to pickup my food, than an employer told me that I need to click on "accept " to the order so she can proceed to give me the order, than I explain to her that I ordered it online through "maps/Chow Now service", that there was not app so I could confirm the order, I proceeded to show the employer my order number and I even told her what were the items on my order, than the employer said that she "couldn't give me anything if I don't confirm the order" than the manager come with an attitude saying "I will not give you any order if I don't see your name on that order" than I asked for a refund because they would not give my order, which I already paid through an online service, than the manager said that "many people have tried to steal from the restaurant before and that she could not provide any services for me until she could see my name on the order" even when I try to show her the number of my order and the items that were literally on the order, she would not give me my order than when I tried to explain to her the situation again, she finally decided to give me my order, but the manager still thinks I stole from them and that I was lying to them, even when I show them my order several times. I just want to complain because apparently these manager doesn't know customer service and don't know about other services that other customers can use, in order to place an order to this restaurant, and I hope for this manager to stop giving a hard time to the customers who literally just want to consume their products, but not have to encounter the same experience because of the lack of knowledge that the staff and manager had about accusing customer of stealing and refusing to give them a refund for the food that they already paid.

Ustedes son asquerosos, por vender alimentos que ya no son seguros para el consumo. Compré un salchichon y cuando lo abrí estaba tan apestoso que me hizo vomitar. También conseguí algunas empanadas que probablemente estuvieron fuera todo el día porque estaba tan rancia que era imposible tomar un bocado y no perder un diente y encima uno estaba quemado y cortó por la mitad, este lugar solía ser bueno, pero nunca más se desperdició otro dólar en esta comida basura. You guys are disgusting, for selling food that is no longer safe for consumption. I bought a salchichon and when I opened it was so stinking it made me gag. i also got some empanadas that were probably out all day because it was so stale that i was impossible to take a bite and not lose a tooth and on top one was burnt and cut in half, this place used to be good but Never again will a wasted another dollar on this trashy food.

The empanadas are really good, as are their other meat foods. Their fresh blended pineapple shakes were good also. I also enjoyed some of the sweet pastries but the tres leches was surprisingly disappointing.Kid-friendliness: Is a family friendly place.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is a flat, first floor entrance. The double entrance vestibule might be a little tricky though.
