We ordered dinner from this restaurant last night to celebrate my grandson’s birthday at home . Being very familiar and always highly satisfied with the Pollos Mario restaurants in Queens I thought we couldn’t go wrong . Let me tell you , we were all in for a shock and great disappointment. With the exception of the rice and the beans which were ok , all the other dishes were awful . The steak on the bandeja típica was a small , thin , tasteless pice of dry leather. The breaded chicken was burnt and dry . The arepa con queso was thick and dry . The Bistesk encebollado, I didn’t taste myself but my son in law had a small piece and left the rest , commenting that it wasn’t great . I feel that this particular restaurant is a discredit to Colombian food and to the Pollos Mario name . Never will we buy from this restaurant again .

I bought food here on 9/23 at 6 pm , the cost has increased drastically from what I’m used to, portions of food are less, now they are putting beans in the same bowl as rice, which used to be 2 bowls,didn’t get my avocado when I ordered my bandeja mario, and to make it worst I got a big bone with my rice and beans, it was disgusting, I hurt my teeth because I didn’t expect bones in beans, smh salad was not fresh, and food that used to give a 10 is now a 2, it’s sad because after the remodel I was looking for something better not worst, prices are too high I have been coming here for years, but not anymore

They finally opened up Thursday August 14th after all the renovation the place looks great! I am so happy I can get my salad rice and beans and steak fix I love it here and so does all my family they are always so welcoming
