We were the last group seated before closing. Service was great. Room was cold. The kitchen hood fan must not have been working, The place was smoky and smelled of grease. To the point where they had left the back door open for fresh air. Also the register below us was blowing cold air.
To the food. We had the Wedge Salad, It was good but not even close to the Wedge at Barado's. Had the broiled seafood paltter. Was very good. The coleslaw was good but a very small portion. The fries were clearly not cooked to order. They were barely warm, and mushy like they had been sitting around for a while.
Didn't care for the specials, but that is just me. Nothing to do with BUC. We will be back.

The food is top notch here. The portions are massive and there’s a good chance you’ll leave with a to go box. No complaints whatsoever about the food, everything is delicious and cooked incredibly well. Service is good. This place doesn’t get very busy during the morning / brunch hours, I’d highly recommend a reservation. It does get cramped when it’s busy.

That being said, the only negatives really are that our table was very sticky and gross feeling and that it was a touch too warm in there to the point you started feeling uncomfortable during the course of a meal.

Visited two times now and enjoyed everything we had to eat. Both my husband and I are Gluten Free and the food was beyond our expectations. It’s our new favorite place to eat. Staff are friendly and attentive to the customers.

Service that good is hard to find these days, and while in New York at that! We visited from NC while there for the holidays. Large portions, high quality ingredients, worth the money without a doubt! Keep in mind, this is an exectlutive chef style restaurant with the owner doing the cooking. That being said, your wait will naturally be longer than chain restaurants who have a team of line cooks. The menu isn't the end of the list. If you have a special request and they have the ingredients to do it, they will! JUST ASK! Very gluten free friendly with vast options in that regard. Cheers to continued success! Hopefully you pick Charlotte, NC for the next location!

I really wanted to like this place after all the good things I heard about it but it's just not that good. The people were mostly friendly but the place smells greasy and weird. It's not a good grease smell either. It's like burnt grease or something. My food was just ok and it was rather cold. My sister's eggs were not cooked all the way and she thought it was bland. We waited a long time for the food to come out too. I don't mind waiting if the food is good but this just wasn't a good experience. We won't be coming back. There's too many other good places to eat that charge a fair price for the food they put out.

Not here to berate the place as the food was excellent. When we walked in there was one table that needed to be cleaned that would accomadate our party of 7. We were advised by the hostess that we could not wait inside while they cleaned the table. Ordinarily I would not have minded but two of our party were 90 plus years old with mobility issues and not to mention it was 35 degrees out. I thought it was extremely rude that they would not at least accomadate the two elderly patrons and allow them to wait inside instead we had to get them both back into the car and sit and wait out in our car only to have to again get them back out and into the restaurant. We were told there wasn't enough room for us to wait inside and at this point it was only 4 of our party inside. If the place was packed with people waiting I could understand but we were the only four people waiting. It was just a poor decision on the part of the hostess and for that We will probably never be back thus the reason for a 4 star rating

stopped in for dinner for my parents anniversary. 3 different dinners. very underwhelming. Mahi had terrible sauce and it was on the rice and carrots. not very good. needless to say I won't be back.

The food was so, so. Not much flavor. The real turn off was how badly we stink when we left. We smelled like grease so much so that we had to shower again and change clothes before doing anything else for the day.

Words can not describe how much I really love the food here. If you are finally looking for a place that not only thinks but ACTUALLY ventures OUTSIDE of the typically "cookie cutter" approach to food. Then this is the place you've been waiting for. The owner and his staff are amazing at always creating exciting new dishes and not just remakes of the same ol $%^t! Love the creativity. Just ordered their specials (10/19/24) I had the "wafflewich" sandwhich with their housemate pickles. SUPERGOOD SANDWHICH!!!! And definitely worth it! They also have a everything bagle sandwich that has their housemade like Chipotle aoli i believe.... delicious!!!!!! thats their first menu item on their specials like smoked something I believe and that was delicious too. So far EVERYTHING I've had from here has been absolutely delicious. Their Reuben Sandwhich is the best I've ever had, looks and Taste! The Bam Bam burger, Chicken and Waffles. I can't wait to see what else this place has in-store for their customers. This place is definitely a hidden gem and 100% satisfying to know I've found it.

We have come here about a handful of times so far and honestly every time we come the food is always good. I love that the menu options aren’t your typical foods that you find everywhere else. I love the creativity and variety, it’s the one thing that drew us to this place. And I love that it doesn’t disappoint. I think the only thing I would change would be that the breakfast potatoes could use some flavor, I know most people are afraid of flavor but I love it! The staff is always friendly, food comes out quickly as well. I also love that if there’s something you’d really like and they have the ingredients for it, they’ll make it for you. Very accommodating! The prices are a little higher than some other places so unfortunately we can’t eat there as much as we’d like but we definitely treat ourselves when we can.

Parking: Parking can get really full, sometimes you have to park in the back.

Kid-friendliness: They do have some menu options that can be kid options they are basically a la cart options, but they do not have an actual kids menu. Which can get a little pricey, especially if you have a big family like us.

Each element is a mile ahead of normal breakfast food. Potatoes are perfectly salted, pancakes melt in your mouth, menu items are creative, not boring. Worth the wait!
