This Carvel has single handily changed my view on life. You may be thinking ice cream is a simple pleasure many indulge in meaninglessly. This is NOT true for me, every bite is an experience in its own, every moment one to be cherised. On a particular dark, gloomy night I defeatedly walked into Carvel, my head hung low in shame. Was I, the biggest icecream enthusiastic in the world really about to settle for Carvel? I walked up to the counter and my pessimistic attitude was flipped upside down, and so was my world. The beaming worker smiled at me and his smile flashed such a warm radiance I was worried all the Icecream would melt! He was kind when serving me and the icecream made my gloom into joy. I looked at the recipt and saw the workers name was Dean. My experience on this night was an insightful one in which I learned never to judge a book by its cover, and hope can be found in the most unexpected places. 5 stars would recommend!!!

I’m honestly heartbroken. Carvel used to be my happy place growing up, but what I saw today made me sick to my stomach. There were mice droppings on the floor right near the counter where they serve the ice cream. I couldn’t believe it — it completely ruined the experience for me. It’s not just gross, it’s dangerous. I walked out immediately. I never thought I’d have to second-guess getting ice cream from a place I’ve trusted for years, but after today, I can’t go back.

The tables are always dirty and the owner/manager always has a mean face, it is never pleasant when that woman is there and I can tell the employees are scare of her.

I haven’t been to a Carvel in years and we stopped in after have a lousy dinner at a nearby restaurant. CARVEL IS ALWAYS GREAT AND CAN CHANGE YOUR MOOD QUICKLY!

Nothing special about this Carvel. It is your regular old ice cream store. Lots of flavors and toppings available as well as flying saucers, ice cream cakes and more. Staff was nice during my visit, note there is nowhere to sit inside or outside besides one table and a bench, so it is mostly a to go place. Clean, and affordable. 3/5
Vegetarian options: It’s ice cream, it’s vegetarian. Note, maybe one or two vegan options (sorbet) if any. Call ahead.

Zero reason to go to this Carvel when there are others in the vicinity that are much superior in service and ice cream. The Briarcliff Carvel frequently gets orders wrong and/or doesn’t have them ready on time, and sometimes has freezer burned cake to boot (when buying from the freezer). The flying saucers seem underfilled as well. The owners are indifferent (at best) to these miscues, although rude would be a more apt description. The only thing going for this franchise is that they sell the ice cream on the sign, which I still believe is the best self serve there is.

This Carvel was horrible under the old owner who passed away two years ago I believe. Since then, this Carvel has been a very pleasant experience. The new owner has been great regarding special order cakes too.

WORKERS ARE NICE HOWEVER THE PLACE GIVE THE FLYING SAUCES WITH LESS QUANTITY OF ICECREAM IN COMPARE TO OTHER CARVELS AND THEY CHARGE MORE THAN OTHER PLACES. ALSO THEY CHARGE 3% MORE IF YOU USE C. CARD, WHICH I THINK IT'S ILIGALL

Don't trust this store. I ordered a $40 order on GrubHub to only get 1 single scoop ice cream delivered. No emails, text or call was made. When I called Carvel they worker said they " updated the app with the new items out of stock with grub hub so you won't be charged" LIES!! I was charged my full $40 order and a $6.99 delivery charge for a single scoop of ice cream!!! If you can't complete more than 2/3 of a big order don't take the order do the right thing you wasted my time And the poor delivery driver who now lost the money he was going to make because GrubHub is going to take it from somebody and I bet it's not you guys
