Food was great. Service was great. Food definitely leans towards the classic and authentic style of Mexican food.
The only down side works be their front eating patio is riddled with the noise of traffic. We saw a back patio area but that was when we were leaving. Wish someone would have offered that outdoor seating area before we committed to front patio. Little saddened by the expensive charge for seltzer and chips with salsa, especially considering their pricing for everything else is not on the low end.
Can't really complain though. The meals were delicious. They just came in short when comparing to other Mexican restaurants I frequent that would not charge $4 for seltzer and the pricey chips and salsa, can't remember how much it was but it was anywhere between $8-12.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years, and after tonight I will never come again. We waited over an hour for our food, which is not acceptable, especially since the restaurant was not overly crowded. When the food arrived, 5 of our 6 entrees were inedible. We immediately spoke to our waiter about the food, expressing we knew it was not his fault that our meals were terrible. Three times we asked to to speak to the manager, since we weren’t going to eat the food, and requested to send it back and only pay for our appetizers, drinks, and the one meal which was fine.
After much discussion back and forth, the manager finally agreed to our request.
I am extremely disappointed in our experience, so much so I wish I could give Guadalajara zero stars. None of us will return.

This was my favorite Mexican restaurant. I live 60 miles away in NJ and always looked forward to returning. Last night I returned after an absence of 2-3 years. Here is my honest review. Food was still good, but really over priced as were the drinks. The biggest turn off and the reason I will not return is they now charge for chips and salsa, which was free and is free in most Mexican restaurants. Lets be clear, it’s not that I can’t afford the 9 dollars for chips and salsa, yes that right 9 dollars, it the fact that I’m not a sucker. The restaurant can cry inflation, which is their right, but we have inflation too. Thank you

We visited this Mexican restaurant for lunch around 2:30 PM on a Sunday. The place was pretty empty, which made for a relaxed dining experience. The design of the restaurant was really cool and seemed authentically Mexican.
Service was excellent—very attentive and kind. However, the nachos were a bit disappointing as they were more like small, bite-sized crackers, not what you typically expect when you think of nachos.
I had the chimichangas and flautas, both served with rice and beans. The chimichangas were out of this world. It seemed like they used some sort of filo dough, and the chicken was shredded and mixed with an amazing sauce before being wrapped up and deep-fried. The flautas were also delicious.
The margaritas were fantastic. Overall, it’s a cozy and cool spot that’s worth a visit if you get the chance.
I hope this captures your experience well!

The atmosphere was nice, it is the reason why we stopped there. The food was decent, though it can be improve.
The reason for my low rating is because of the service my family received. It took a long time for our sever to come to our table and take our order, he seemed very rushed and wanted us to order fast so he can leave. After receiving our food, we realized he completely forgot one of our appetizers, we ended up not getting the appetizer as we already started eating. The overall experience with our server was subpar, he was not knowledgeable regarding their menu.

It had been several years since I dined here. Unfortunately the experience did not live up to what I remembered. Things have changed and not for the better. They no longer provide chips and salsa complimentary when every other Mexican restaurant does. We ordered fajitas and it only comes with tortillas, guacamole, and pico de gallo. They no longer provide rice and beans with it, again when every other Mexican restaurant does. Our waitress disappeared after taking our order. She never came to ask how the food was. In fact we didn't see you again for the remainder of our meal. When I address these matters with the manager, he just informed me that the items were no longer provided or complimentary. In regards to the service, he told my waitress went on break but no one else came to check on us. He simply apologized, stating that he was short staff. Why would staffing matter to customers who are still paying $150 check! Would not recommend or return here.

2024…I’m probably less inclined to keep coming after this being a fav spot for years. Fish tacos are still great but they no longer offer complimentary chips and salsa and my lunch of just tacos and a margarita was $50 incl tip and tax. Now out of my price range. I also used to be a generous tipper but those days are gone as well.

Seater at front had a nasty attitude because I initiated asking for a table. She rolled her eyes and walked past me. Ignored me for a few minutes. We were seated right at the 1st table outside. We were ignored. My food came missing items and was not good. It was absolutely a disappointment given the $300 bill. I had basically chase down waitstaff to ask for another drink. It genuinely felt like we were being punished by the woman in the front

Excellent food. Good sized portions. There are a lot of tables here so would be good for a big group. In addition to the inside, there is an outdoor area. The decor is great and adds to the experience. The have had Mariachi bands in the past
Dietary restrictions: Although no separate fryer, they do have chips and offer corn tortillas and other gluten-free options.
Kid-friendliness: It’s big. Good kids menu.

We go there regularly but this time the quality of food was not as good as it used to be. The fajitas and quesadillos were ok. The restaurant now overcharges and every thing is extra....even the additional tortillas for fajitas. Also be careful...the waiter will try to upsell a double guacamole $32) or large margaritas ($32). No chips and salsa on the table.....

I Don’t recommend this place it’s overpriced and also check your bill because they change the price from the menu, they have one price on the menu but they charge extra on the bill

We were really looking forward to our dinner at Guadalajara. My biggest concern was a very aggressive interaction with a waitstaff person. The waiter misheard my friend's order. He brought the wrong food. She asked nicely to fix the issue. He kept repeating over and over that she was wrong and this is what she ordered and its what she said. It got aggressive and very awkward. Eventually she was brought the correct meal. No apology was offered. The food was okay. I had the chicken flautas which were tasty. The vegetarian combination plate was sad looking and very expensive. Additionally, its $9 for chips and salsa which seems wild to me.overall really disappointing experience, colored especially by the interaction with our waiter. We won't be back.
