Maya’s Taqueria - Authentic Mexican Food

The cutest, most authentic, Mexican food you will find. A hidden gem in Briarcliff Manor. Always plenty of street parking available. This place is always kept clean. Sparkling clean! A very small restaurant, with only 4 or 5 tables, that does the bulk of its business in take out apparently. Since we don't live nearby, is a destination for us and we eat in or outside where there are additionally two tables with umbrellas. Every item that is made and comes to your table is always the freshest, and well presented! The ubiquitous corn chips and salsa at the beginning or anything but ordinary. The additionally give you two other salsas on the table. One is a medium verde and the other it is a spicy one. All of them are amazing and compliment every dish. Displayed here is what we ate. We had the enchiladas suiza which had the most amazing verde sauce on top, a chicken torta that was stuffed with grilled chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, sliced avocado and mex cheese, and a steak Burrito that was stuffed and the size of a football! So much food! All items come with french fries which are delicious, but they will substitute anything for you. I always choose to get rice and beans, and my wife always gets this beautiful salad. If and when you have room for dessert, they always have freshly made flan, rice pudding, and tres leches. Plenty of Mexican sodas. Everybody is so kind in this place. The prices are so reasonable as well. This place flies under the radar, but it shouldn't fly under yours. Go!

Simple and delicious

I usually order uber eats but today I decided to drive down for a sit down. Food is great as per usual, service is amazing too, you get a free nachos . I will deff go more doten for a sit down . Highly recommend

Small restaurant - but it had some of the best Mexican / Southwestern food I've had in New York - and certainly the best Chilaquiles I've had outside of the southwest (the Chicken Mole and Chicken Fajitas were excellent also!).

Stopped here randomly as a convenient Mexican restaurant off the Taconic, but I am DEFINTELY coming back to work my way through the menu!

Really delicious food. Recommended by a local, and we were so pleased. They start you w chips and salsa. Salsa was fresh and delicious. Had a chicken tinga quesedilla that was seasoned just right. Additional sauces and sour chream for you to add to increase spice level. Overall, we enjoyed and would return/recommend to friends. The only minus is no alcohol. I bet they would make a great margarita!

How, just how are there positive reviews for this place? The food we received via delivery is probably the worst Mexican I have tried. Mole doesn't taste like mole, more like straight up oil. Al pastor was ordered and received chorizo which was gross. Nachos covered in cheese that you can even find any chips. Enchiladas covered in MOZZERELLA CHEESE that I can even find the chicken/protein. Just not good, go elsewhere people.

Placed an order for pickup for guacamole and chips. There is something about the guacamole as it did not taste fresh or they are using pre-made guacamole paste. Tasted like pre packaged guacamole you buy at the supermarket.

Great Mexican food and very friendly staff. 4 small tables in the front make it cozy. We were impressed by our food, you must try the chicken nachos...enough for a family of 4!

Great place to enjoy some delicious authentic Mexican food! The food was delicious, the restaurant was clean, and the staff were friendly! If we’re ever in the area again soon, will be back!

Ordered a chicken burrito, comes with fries or a salad...$16. Before I even get the food the screen to pay comes up requesting tips. Tips are AFTER you get good service and food, not before. Maybe when I clicked no tip, this is why there was no chicken in my chicken burrito? Not to mention how tiny it was compared to every burrito I've ever had. I gave it two stars instead of one because the burrito (without chicken), salsa and guac tasted good.
