It was Mother's Day and I knew things would be hectic. Right off the bat I saw the host have a bit of an attitude with a customer that was waiting to be seated, even though the customer was only just standing there, he was "in the way". He told another patron it will be about 10-15 minutes until he can be seated, and said "Sorry" in a condescending way. I understand, the host is stressed. Not a great start. We then wait for over 2 hours to receive our food. Waiter did not come over ONCE to say something like, "Hey, I apologize for the wait time, we're extremely busy as you can tell and the kitchen is overwhelmed". It would have been SO easy to say this and it would have made a huge difference in showing that he actually felt bad or cared. Instead, it looked like some of the waiters had attitudes. We saw 2 parties leave before their food even came because of the significant wait times and probably because of the lack of empathy. Piece of advice, if you're an established restaurant that often gets crowded, you know your kitchen's limitations. Don't accept every reservation under the sun just to rack in the money because doing this will make your customer loyalty will go down the tubes. The only reason I will look past this experience is because during Covid we ordered delivery and the restaurant gave us family sized portions at no additional charge because the food would have went bad otherwise. This is the Terra Rustica I want to take my family to, not the one experienced on Mother's Day.

Granted, Mother's Day is the busiest day of the year. I've also worked in restaurants in both the kitchen and as a waiter. I've never seen a restaurant in disarray like Terra Rustica was yesterday. We waited 20 min with a frustrated group of about 20 at the front door with no host just to tell staff we had reservations - which they didn't bother to check, anyway. Once seated at 2:30 with a reservation for 2, we waited 2 hours for our food. The food was very good. If you read my other reviews I hope you believe I'm sorry to say, this was something I'd rather watch on an episode of a restaurant rescue show than experience in person.

Worst experience ever ! Food took 1 1/2 hour to come to the table , the waiter was rude ! I know the place could be busy and I get it but there is not reason why you will treat the customers with an attitude. The manager was rude and not solve any of the issues. Is not worth to spend your money here.

I feel sad leaving a negative review here as I’ve come to Terra Rústica many times and have had a good experience. However, today was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had in my life. My wife and I came to the restaurant wanting to order takeout for my parents (and ourselves) on Mother’s Day after not being able to reach the restaurant over the phone. The place was packed, but the bartender still courteously took our order. After waiting over an hour fifteen at the bar (originally being quoted 40 mintues) we began to inquire what was going on with our order. The co-owner, Jose, went back to check on it and after various communications with the bartender, canceled our order. After we had waited 90 minutes! Informed us that the bartender should never have taken our order in the first place. Why that was told us 90 minutes later and after paying I have no idea. I asked for a credit given the time we spent waiting (and now had to go somewhere else to procure food) and was told no. It’s just no way to treat a customer…. 512 bistro down the street helped us out and got our order filled quickly and it was great. Highly recommend them. I honestly feel bad as the other co-owner Abel is a good guy, but I’m just not sure we’ll be coming back after this…. Jose yelled at me and blamed the bartender, the chef, and claimed to not be in charge. Crazy experience… would generally avoid the restaurant when he’s there.

Went there today for mother's Day and it was an absolutely awful experience. Was served a regular size calamari appetizer but charged for a family size one. The waiter was insistent that it was a family size then a few minutes later the other table was brought out a family size one so it was obvious and the other table even said so. Then thirty minutes later our waiter admitted that our entrees wouldn't be out for at least another thirty minutes. We were there for 2 hours and each had a drink and one very overpriced appetizer before leaving because we weren't going to wait another 30-45 minutes for the entrees. Cost $116 for a horrible experience.

Came here on Mother’s Day and placed an order for pickup. We waited 1.5 hours for the food to be ready, just for the owner, Jose, to tell us that they won’t be making our order. Every time I come here, Jose has a terrible attitude and treats the customers like garbage. The employees here are completely unprofessional and scummy. Do NOT come here if you want to be treated with any form of respect.

Visiting a friend who suggested this restaurant nearby. We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience taking in the ambience and the varied offerings on the the menu. I opted for the grilled chicken strips on a salad containing red peppers, portobello mushroons, lettuce and a tasty dressing. She has eggs on crabcakes with grits, and our friend had poached eggs. Service was friendly and solicitous. Parking all round the building. Prices very reasonable.

Just went to Terra Rustica for lunch for my 2nd wedding anniversary with my wife. I have been here many times and never had a problem. As soon as we sat down, my wife noticed that her silverware was dirty. We had to ask a bus boy for a replacement set. Then when her salad came out, we noticed that there was mold on one of the pieces of lettuce. Instead of apologizing and offering another salad to my wife, the food runner Started to argue with us about whether or not the lettuce was moldy. We were so annoyed and disgusted by this experience that we walked out without a single employee or manager stopping us to ask what happened. Certainly this restaurant cares more about winning an argument than customer satisfaction. It is highly doubtful that we will ever come back here.

Overall entrées were very good however the fried calamari were frozen rings that were overcooked and rubbery. I reported to waiter but was politely ignored. Pricing on some entrées seemed excessive.

An absolute gem! Everyone was very pleasant and attentive and the food was fabulous. The eggplant rollatini was one of the best I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to go back!

Food is consistently good. Usually good service. Nice interior. Sometimes there's a wait.

Food was just average. Service was good. My boyfriend's fish was a small portion.
