Shah's Halal Food

Today was my first time at Shah’s Halal Food & it was DELICIOUS!!! The portions & taste are great. I’ll definitely be back.

Finally a place in Chicagoland that does the Halal chicken and rice the right way. I also tried the chop cheese which was authentic out of Brooklyn. This is the only place doing it right in the area. Today was probably my 8th time there since they’ve opened. Great place, keep it up. *The other new place is all show and no taste or class for that matter.

Loved the food

To be honest the food was taste and everything was good untillll I was eating the freaking chicken over rice at the near park and found a metal washing small thing in the food I started vomiting and I got there they gives me new food but it was not a good thing that happed so I stoped buying from that bus✅

They were friendly and the service was fast. That was the best burger I’ve had in a long time. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle… 👌🏽 (chefs kiss)

Everything was very fresh and tasted terrific. The portions sizes were appropriate for the price. The staff was above and beyond friendly.

I don’t know how consistent the quality is. this is my first time at the location. But it is the best halal style chicken over rice I have ever had in my life.

Me and my wife have ordered delivery from your Newark, DE location many times. we have explored almost the entire menu and have not been disappointed. My wife loves the chicken kofta and I'm a huge fan of the lamb over rice. We will continue to patronize your business because the quality and flavor is top tier!

The food tastes very good but too many times now I have to pull pieces of uncooked chicken out of my mouth. I kinda feel like they’re doing it on purpose now. The guy that plates the food is ok but the other guy is rude for no reason.

I was a bit early but the employee hooked me up as I was heading back to Philly and on a time crunch. Food was valid. Havent had gyro that good in a long time. 11/10

I came to try out the food first time. Told the person I wanted a plater and combo with rice. Another employee was making a online order or something in front of the person that was making my food. They stared at me without saying anything getting to toppings I’ve pointed to lettuce and some cut vegetables. And then said, can you put the same sauces that your coworker put on the order before mines. Which I saw was a red and white sauce. The worker then proceeded to put dark brown color sauce on my food. I proceeded to ask her if that was what was put in the order before mine and the response was, I don’t know. Then proceeded to stare at me again not communicating any way how to proceed to solve problem. I felt like if I asked her to make me a new one, I would be offending her ability to make a plater. So I told her I would buy it so she wouldn’t have to make another one. Then she proceeded to ask me what to do. So I paid $13 for not hurting somebody’s feelings. Now that I got this off my chest I feel better, but I probably won’t come back to eat here.

Just ordered from here for the first time and the food came quickly and was impressively good. I recommend the lamb/chicken combo.
