Visited on a Friday evening and overall it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. Despite it being a prime time slot, nearly half of the restaurant was empty, which already set an odd tone. The bar area, however, was a completely different story there was a DJ playing extremely loud music that resonated badly throughout the entire restaurant. It wasn’t just loud; the sound quality was harsh and overwhelming, making conversation at the tables uncomfortable.

The décor felt mismatched and poorly thought out. Around 9 PM, people started dancing near the bar, but the area is far too small for that and quickly became crowded and awkward, especially for guests who were just trying to enjoy dinner.

The food itself was underwhelming for the price point NOT traditional at all, average at best. Portions were small, presentation was basic, and the flavors didn’t stand out enough to justify the cost. On top of that, a bucket of five bottled beers priced at $40 felt excessive and not worth it at all(you can get a bucket of 6 for $19.99 at other places for comparison).

Our server was great only reason for getting any stars, I would have tip her more but 15% gratuity was automatically added

Between the noise, cramped layout, overpriced drinks, and mediocre food, the visit just wasn’t enjoyable.

Unfortunately, this was a bad experience overall, and I wouldn’t recommend this place.

It was my 1st time here, I’ll say 9/10
The food is amazing!! The service was great, the only thing is that they took a little long for our drinks, it’s a very busy restaurant. Other than that it’s great!!! Music make alll good n even the volumen perfect to dance n to talk. DJ great!!!

Went to a birthday party here. The upstairs room seats 40 comfortably, with bathrooms on that floor. Food and service were both great. Pictured is the appetizer platter placed on each table: fried calamari, mini empanadas, fried plantains, fresh guacamole, and onion relish.

The main courses were delicious. Grilled steak was a generous portion, thinly sliced, seasoned well, and cooked perfectly. Hawaiian chicken was a huge serving: pounded thin, fried, super tender, and finished with a sweet cheesy sauce with pineapple and diced ham. Nobody at our table got the tilapia but I bet it was excellent too. Sides of fried sweet plantains and beans & rice were generous and flavorful.

The owners sliced and served the family provided cakes. When I asked for milk for the coffee they brought a pot of hot steamed milk - so good.

My family are planning a return trip soon to sample more of the menu. Highly recommended!

THE most authentic Ecuadorian costeña food I’ve had in all of NY so far!! We came for lunch and had the filete de pescado estilo Ecuatoriano, sango de camaron and arroz con mariscos. So fresh and authentic. My new go-to for my Ecuadorian favorites as a Manabita 🇪🇨

It was my first time this weekend. I heard a lot of mix reviews so I wanted to check myself and I was were pleased.
Once you go there they give you an iPad with the menu, very easy to follow. Unfortunately they didn't have the Ecuadorian food caldo de Bolas that my husband wanted snd they offer him to try the other 2 options. He didn't tried since he knows the other options but I was glad they offered.
I choose from the breakfast menu bolon de verde with eggs was delicious, I felt like I was back home.
The drinks were really good, we had jugo de mora en Leche.
They had 2 options of the hot sauce one spicy and one very spicy. Both of them really good.
I order an order of tortillas de choclo con queso wow my daughter love it.
I will defend be back to Bahia.
As a Real estate agent I am always on the run so know good places were to take my clients is a plus. Great atmosphere! I also loved the songs that they were playing.

This place was a mixed bag of the good the bad and the ugly. The good was the breaded pork cutlets. Probably the best I've had at a Colombian place. The guac bowl appetizer was fire, the rice was good and the steak in the baneja paisa was very good, cooked perfectly with good seasoning. The bad was the beans, stewed beans are supposed to have a bit of a gravy and these were watery and lacked flavor, I had to keep reaching for the salt. The chicharon (fried pork rind) was a dry and the skin chewy. The ajiaco soup was very good but again, lacked seasoning and for the price, was a bit of a small serving. The ugly. The morcilla (Colombian blood sausage) was really, really good but when I ordered a second one it was ice cold in the middle 🤢. I will say, they did offer me a free dessert for my troubles so kudos to them for that. I think I will only come back here if I am in the mood for that delicious fried pork cutlet. The music was a bit loud but had lively atmosphere. The place is really clean and has a nice modern vibe. Also I have to mention that the service was really good.

I went to Bahia Restaurant to try Colombian and Ecuadorian food, but I was very disappointed.

The service was okay, but everything took a very long time to come out.

The issue began with the coffee. The first cup tasted only like milk with a pinch of coffee. I politely brought this to the waitress attention, and she made a new one. The second cup still missed the mark and didn't taste like quality coffee should.

For the main course, I ordered an Ecuadorian plate and did not like it. It did not taste fresh. The ceviche was especially bad, it tasted like they used lime juice from a bottle, not real, fresh lime.

The pork had no flavor, and the guatita (a stew) was missing flavor too. I couldn't even taste the peanut butter that should have been in it.

The only thing I liked was the arepa de choclo. It was delicious. I tried to order two more to take home, but I was disappointed to know they only had one left.

Compounding the issues with the food, given the lack of freshness and flavors in the food and the extremely long wait. I will not be coming back.
