Called and made a reservation. Was quoted a price higher than anything listed on their website. Confirmed that I would be able to check in earlier in the day, I suggested times earlier than their "early check in" and was told that would be fine. Day of and I arrive and the place is closed and locked. Even witnessed people who checked in the night before trying to get in to get their things and couldn't because it was locked. Called and was told that no I wasn't told I could check in whenever (despite the fact that I was). Was then also told that because it was within 4 days of my reservation that no I could not cancel and not be charged and moving the reservation and then canceling would still get me charged. All in all a very annoying interaction for a place that doesn't look as kept up as the pictures on the site and is actively trying to take people's money.

The rooms were small but clean and comfy. The restaurant was just ok. Some of our food was overcooked or overseasoned and some was delicious. Overall it was a good stay with minor issues.

First time here, by far the best stuffed haddock with shrimp and crab with spinach and two sauces ever ! Love the quaintness and historic atmosphere and decor. Very cozy and great service. Rated my favorite 💖

My wife and I went there the other night for Mexican food. My wife said her meal was very good. We haven't been back to eat there for a long time. The food was not that great back 6 or 7 years. My dinner however was not so good. Prepare to wait a while for your food. The service is great. I ordered their hamburger medium rare . It came out so well done that the meat was gray. They immediately took it and ordered a new plate. It was served pretty quick. But now I had hamburger tartar in the middle. Wasn't that bad though. Whomever is cooking the hamburgers tell them to slow down and not to char the outside. A thick hamburg is good but my taste is cook it thoroughly but leave it pink and juicy.

We only stayed there for one night but it was cozy. The restaurant was closed because of a function going on so we were a little disappointed we couldn't have dinner there. Overall though the place is nice, the rooms are clean and the staff is very nice.

The best hotel I've stayed in in the adirondack region. I can only compare it to lower priced rooms that ive stayed in but this was quiet, well decorated and very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. Everything was perfect.

Clean room, comfy bed, very accommodating hosts. Neat older building that is charming, especially enjoyed sunset on the porch upstairs. Recommend!
