Beautiful views and really interesting and unique wine! Great experience with the tasting room pourer, he was so knowledgeable and passionate.
Absolutely incredible wine, some of the best views, and wonderful service!
Me and some friends went to taste and got a few flights of reds and whites. We left with three bottles of the Vignoles and Stone Bridge white. They also had some of the most interesting dry reds I’ve had in the area.
If you love dry but juicy wines, definitely go here.
Take amazing views of the Seneca lake with the breezyatmosphere, great place to relax and unwind. Love to go back during the next visit.
Best view! Delicious wine
Nice view. Good service. Nice dry wine. The dry Riesling was my favorite.
Great views, great wine, wonderful service! The dry Riesling was delicious.
Incredible view with even better wine and staff. If you have the opportunity to have Greg lead your tasting you're in for a treat!
Confusing signage, but overall a great experience and gorgeous views
Amazing views, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and excellent wines. With so many wineries in the Seneca Lake area, it’s hard to pick a few to go to. We went here based on two recommendations from locals and it was spot on.
Great place to look at the sunset

Are you looking for an adventurous wine tasting with incrideble variety, a somehow better view and incredibly friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff? Look no further than Atwater. Of the dizzying 17 vineyards on Seneca lake I have been to this one may have offered the most jnteresting tasting. Now some other vineyards I went to will get their five stars too, but for different reasons. This one was a truly delightful experience and the variety in their tasting menu kept things from getting mononote in flavor and texture. Seriously, this place is great. Will be back.
Of all the vineyards that we've visited this weekend, Atwater has the best view, best wines, and hands down, the best customer service. The woman helping us even recommended local places to go, and those were winners too.
We had a great tasting experience at Atwater with my husband, 16 month old son and my husband’s cousin, who is a wine club member. The staff were warm and so welcoming especially with our son which made a memorable experience for us. The setting is also stunning over looking the lake and the tasting room is nicely done. We really enjoyed the dry white wines and sparkling white. Thanks again to the staff!
My girlfriends and I booked a wine tour. We visited 5 wineries with a private driver touring us around town. Atwater Winery was our 4th winery on our tour. We got sat by Liz (who was awesome) and she explained to us our menus for our wine tasting. Our server who is an older male (white hair) comes over, and starts explaining the wines to us. He asked us how many wineries we’ve been to before this one in a rude way. He made a comment seeming like we were too “drunk”. We displayed no behavior of being drunk at all. As he is explaining the wines, one of my girlfriends took out her hand sanitizer and put it on, and the server (thinking it was lipgloss) said, “You’re really going to put on lipgloss before tasting wine?” It was so rude, we thought it was a joke! Who are you to tell us what we can put on our bodies? We continued listening to him talk about the wines. My friend moved her chair next to me so we could be closer. She asked the server, “Do you mind if I move my chair over?” He responded, “ummm I do mind if you move your chair actually” and rolled his eyes. My girlfriend next to me whispered to me a quick question and the server stopped in his tracks, stared at my friend and asked her “Am I bothering you????” My friends and I were APPALLED. After he explained the wines, we immediately went to the front desk person (Liz) and asked if we can have a different server. She was so pleasant and helpful and apologized for the server’s behavior.
This older gentleman was completely inappropriate, made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Once we finished our tasting, we ran out of there. If it wasn’t for this older man, we would have spent a lot more time at Atwater winery. My friends and I live 4 and a half hours away, and we were really looking forward to a fun, calming winery, but instead we got a hostile experience.
Fantastic wine, amazing views
