DELICIOUS FOOD and DELICIOUS DESSERT! The food is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. The fresh lemon water on tap is an added bonus! I also wish they had more food on the menu, but the food they do have is really exceptional, especially for this area. Definitely the best place to have breakfast in Watkins Glen or Corning or Painted Post or Elmira. My husband and I stopped here on our way home from a short getaway to Seneca Lake. We read reviews and looked forward to trying the charming Berta's! The cafe seemed cute enough at first glance, and a nice woman opened the door for us. Although it was a little off-season (October), the "landscaping" out front was wildly overgrown and looked very unkempt. Cash only. Friendly staff. Good coffee. Okay food and extremely pricey. Almost $35 for two breakfasts and coffee.

We really enjoyed our meal. We came here with friends for breakfast and had a great meal, all fresh and home made. The prices are alittle high but it is a great spot for food and excellent service if you like cafes and home made food check them out, but rember cash only.
