Absolutely the best winery at the Finger Lakes. The Cayuga White Rise is superb! You may want to try the Wine pickels. They are delicious!

This place was great. The staff was very helpful and the wine was super tasty. They also had barbecue sauces for us to sample.

Amazing wine and snacks! We prefer sweet wines over dry wines and this place had an excellent selection of sweet wines! Pretty good view from the patio of Seneca Lake. Extremely dog friendly! We were able to buy 3 bottles of wine to take home and the flight was free, such a great idea!

J.R. Dill Winery was my group's second stop on our wine tour and was a good experience. The winery was very busy but it did not take long to receive our drinks after ordering. Most of our party opted for flights, which consisted of 5 small cups of wine each to try. J.R. Dill does not do curated flights and it is up to the customer to put their own flights together based on availability from the menu. Prices for bottles here are reasonable, not too high but not super cheap.

Nice place with a nice view. Good wines, we especially liked the dry white selection . Also had an excellent dry rose. Service was good.

JR Dill Winery: A Taste of Tranquility JR Dill Winery is a tucked-away gem, hidden amidst nature's bountiful canvas. It is a place where the simplicities of life converge with the pleasures of the vine. As I ventured into this vineyard haven, I was immediately struck by the serenity that enveloped me, as if time had slowed to honor the beauty that unfolded. The winery's architecture, simple yet elegant, blended seamlessly with the natural surroundings, a testament to the harmony it sought to preserve. The heady aroma of grapes and the unmistakable scent of aging barrels permeated the air, inviting me to embrace the enchantment that awaited within. As I approached the tasting room, the unassuming facade belied the sensory wonders that awaited me. I was greeted by the friendly and knowledgeable staff, their passion for wine evident in their every word and gesture. They guided me through the selection, revealing the delicate nuances that made JR Dill Winery an oasis of taste. My journey began with their "Morning Mist Chardonnay," a wine that mirrored the gentle caress of a balmy breeze. Its golden hue hinted at the warmth of the sun, while its fruity notes danced upon my tongue, offering respite from the world's tumultuous waves. With each sip, I could almost feel the morning mist kiss my skin, bringing a sense of calm and renewal. Next, I embarked upon the "Sunset Serenade Pinot Noir." This ruby elixir awakened my senses, with its harmonious blend of red fruit and earthy undertones. It was a wine that encapsulated the beauty of twilight, casting a warm glow upon my palate as if I were witnessing the sky's soft pastel hues melt into darkness. The enchantment of the setting sun echoed in each sip, a melodic serenade to the senses. But it was the "Vineyard Symphony," a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, that stole my heart. This bold red wine declared its presence with each pour, its robust character embodying the soul of the vineyard. Rich notes of dark berries and hints of spice created a symphony in my mouth, a crescendo of flavors that echoed the passion and dedication infused into every bottle. JR Dill Winery is not just a place to taste wines; it is a sanctuary of tranquility. It is a destination where time loses its grip, allowing one to savor life's simplest indulgences. Here, one can bask in nature's beauty, embrace the symphony of flavors, and find solace in the harmony between wine and soul. So dear travelers, seek out JR Dill Winery, and let your senses be transfixed. Raise your glass, toast to life's tranquilities, and savor the symphony that unfolds within its hallowed grounds.

Highly Recommend J.R. Dill Winery. My husband and I stopped by for our first visit to J.R. Dill on Thursday, and we LOVED IT!!!! We had the tasting for two, and had the Dry Red Blend, and you get 6 wine choices and we loved 5 out of the 6 and ended up buying all 5 bottles. The wine is delicious and they serve Tapas (light food dishes, including a delicious chacuterie board and hummus. What made it even better was our Wine Pro/Server, Astra, who was so much fun and she is super interesting to talk to. She even gave us the story on how J.R. Dill started the winery and how his Mom helps with the gardening and planting around the winery. Astra was so nice and made us feel so welcomed. If you are in the Seneca Lake area, you must make a stop at J.R. Dill, you won't regret it. Hopefully Astra will be there for your wine tasting. If we could give more than a 5 star, we definitely would. J.R Dill - You are our FAVORITE winery in the Finger Lakes and we will be back over and over and over. Denise & John

I went here with my husband, baby, and 2 dogs and we really enjoyed it. We sat on the deck which had a nice ambiance and views, and enjoyed 2 wine flights. Then when checking out we got the flights comped because we bought a few bottles of wine. We also enjoyed a few appetizers of hummus and spinach dip that were excellent. Overall a really nice experience and our two servers were excellent!

We really enjoyed our stop at J.R Dill Winery. The staff was super friendly, and they even offer some food choices if you plan to stay for a while. They have a great variety, the Cabernet Franc Rosé and Gruner Veltliner were awesome. Their prices per bottle were extremely reasonable, we left with several bottles! Looking forward to our next visit.

Always loved this place. Stopped for annual visit, half hour before close. Saw wait to be seated sign and waited, and waited, and waited. No welcome, acknowledgement, eye contact. Intententional avoidance. Long time fans, never will return.
