Cute spot offering bakery fare. Egg salad sandwich was tasty. Coffee a bit cooler than expected and the chai was really hot.

Great music, lattes, food, service. Perfect pricing, too. I recommend the ham and cheese croissant with an apple turnover. All pair great with their lattes!

Just stopped by, by far the best cappuccino around. Delicious. Also, the lil Madeleine served with it was excellent. Will be going back.
Cozy and warm on a winter day! Great coffee!

I am so thrilled to see that your coffee shop offers real reusable mugs, plates, glasses, and silverware to its patrons who are enjoying their coffee and meal inside.
By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish, and over 95% of the plastics we produce and consume do not get recycled, but instead breakdown into micro plastics which put chemicals in our bodies that make us sick. This of course makes sense because plastics are made from fossil fuels.
So it is a massive relief to enter a coffee shop that aligns with my values and seeks to better connect its customers to the planet. Especially in a location as beautiful as upstate New York.
Thank you for walking the talk, and offering this option to customers. It is incredibly dignifying.
Delicious coffee, and lovely service as well. Thank you for caring for mother Earth!

Red Star Cafe & Bakery in Cairo, NY, is a hidden gem that deserves a standing ovation. Their latte is a velvety dream, perfectly balanced and artfully crafted. But what truly stole the show is their gluten-free blueberry muffin. As a self-proclaimed muffin snob, I can attest that this treat defies all expectations. It's moist, flavorful, and packed with juicy blueberries – you'd never guess it's gluten-free! In fact, they've ditched their regular muffins altogether because this gluten-free version is simply that good. If you're in the area, make sure to stop by and indulge in this delightful surprise.

We're fortunate to have Red Star so close to our place in Freehold. Coffee and pastries are all delicious and I love the welcoming yet contemporary atmosphere and decor. Bonus madeleines are 💯!
