I visited Splish Splash yesterday and unfortunately, the entire experience was a hot mess from start to finish. The park was dangerously understaffed—especially in the kiddie areas, where only one lifeguard was left to manage large groups of children. Kids were pushing each other down slides, and there was absolutely no enforcement of rules or supervision. Big kids were running wild in areas clearly meant for toddlers, and many were completely unsupervised by parents. It was not a safe environment for little ones.
The problems weren’t limited to just the kiddie areas. On nearly every larger ride, groups of people were cutting the lines, saying things like “our friends are up ahead” or “we’re just meeting our family.” It was blatant and constant. We witnessed an altercation right in front of us where a frustrated father had finally had enough and went to get security. Unfortunately, not much was done, and the line-cutting continued throughout the park all day.
Even more frustrating was the H2Go pass system, which is supposed to offer faster access to rides—but with no staff monitoring the H2Go lanes, people were simply using them to skip the lines altogether.
We stayed from open to close, and I personally only managed to get on a handful of rides because of all the chaos and disorganization. The stairs leading up to the bigger rides were scalding hot and painful to stand on.
The overall atmosphere created by many of the guests was rude and aggressive. The constant line-cutting and lack of basic courtesy from other visitors made the day exhausting.
This was not the family-friendly, fun-filled day we had hoped for and have experienced in past years as a previous and current pass holder. Unless major changes are made to staffing, crowd control, and overall park management, I wouldn’t recommend Splish Splash to anyone.

ATTENTION!!! Do NOT purchase tickets to splish splash in advance. This business does not value its customers. I purchased tickets for a specific date and the park closed due to “iffy” weather and they never bothered to contact me. It’s very disheartening when their site is extremely encouraging to purchase in advance. This “locally owned” and “mom and pop” type business didn’t even call me back after many attempts to reach them and communicate my dissatisfaction. It’s very clear how they feel about local and returning customers. I’m STILL waiting for a call back. Don’t go here. American Dream Mall is just as close for those living mid-island and I’m sure would treat their customers better.
