11/11/25 Went to The Bog as they are open serving in the restaurant. Food was great, atmosphere -perfect . Good people ..Chris, Brittany, Danelle . This was needed in Cambridge and based on our visit will be a great success . Celebrate local. You’ll be happy you did.

Small town tavern. Great bar. Ballgame on the TV. Modern jukebox. Juicy HUGE burgers. Crispy fries. Food is hot, fast, fresh and tasty with generous portions. Staff greets you like family. Fantastic hospitality. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Happened to come across it on Maps while looking for a place to stop for lunch on the way home from a business trip. Parking was right next to the building.
First impression: When we stepped in, I wasn't sure it was open since they are still in the process of setting up the whole place (so boxes in the corners, not everything set up quite yet). The atmosphere is nice, rustic and welcoming in casual part-of-the-neighborhood sort of way. Music was quiet, but good for being able to converse. Lights were off, but the lighting from outside was more than enough (owner did ask if we wanted her to turn on the lights, but we told her no). I only took 1 star off for atmosphere because the place wasn't completely set up and it's hard to give full marks when the place isn't fully done.
Service: The owner was also our server and she explained that they recently started serving food after buying the place about a year ago. She checked in on us a couple times, enough to feel she cared, but not too much that we felt watched or hovering. Friendly for sure.
Food: Unfortunately they only had (iced) water when I went, but the Custom Bog Burger (medium) was very good. Fresh ingredients and good beef. Came with crispy fries and a pickle. They didn't have condiment bottles (yet) so she provided us with ample mayonnaise and ketchup packs. Completely forgot to take a photo.
Not sure when I'd be in the area again, but if I am and craving meat/burger, I'd definitely visit again.

My cousin and I went there on 5 April. There was a ten minute wait for a table-no big deal ( thiscwas 7:00 pm). Bartender asked if we wanted a drink, I ordered a drink and she went to another couple and took a food order and never got my drink. We were seated (7:10pm), placed a drink order and a food order. We got our drinks, and the ones seated just before us received their food, another table had a drink spilled and a waitress rushed over, another man was seated and they took his order. The waitress kept looking at us like we were taking up space. The man received his order and one of the waitress was talking and joking with him. Could not get them to come to our table. At 740pm we decided to leave- to the waitress to keep our order, her reply Oh My God!. 1

We stopped on our way to our cabin to grab some takeout food for dinner- We had 2 beers each while waiting and our bill was $80. We we opened the Togo boxes the strip steak was cooked perfectly and the Prime Rib was extremely overcooked- we ordered both Rare and we could not even eat the $32 prime rib -it went in the campfire- We placed a review on their FB page and have been personally attacked due to it- We are beyond disappointed in not only the food but the customer service from this place-

The burgers here are very tasty, done as ordered and reasonably priced. However, this place is a locals hang-out with noisy shouting "bar flies" at the bar, making for a not very relaxing meal. Why do guys need to shout at each other when they are sitting 2 feet away ????? More than once, we've walked in and immediately walked out because of the noise.
Passing through on a Friday evening. This is the kind of place the locals frequent. Many customers and staff knew each other. Food was average and portions generous. Prices reasonable.

After several locals praised the food at this establishment, I decided to try their Friday night special of prime rib dinner. The prime rib was mediocre at best, the sweet potato fries soggy and the mixed vegetables mushy. Overpriced at $28.

Just walked into The Bog and sat at the nearly empty bar for a full 5 minutes without being acknowledged. Two guys came up and were immediately waited on by the @$!*^# that was working. I’m wondering about the new management-never had that problem before. I won’t go back.

A friend and I went to The Bog for a drink and a burger. When we walked in and looked for a table, we were not greeted at all. We decided to sit at a high table in the bar area. Someone did then come over ask us if we wanted a drink, took our order. Then the bartender asked and said the other guy cannot take orders. Confusing. He left us a menu, returned with our drinks but at that point we were not ready to order. He said to flag him down when we were, we tried. Then the owner asked if we needed help and told the hostess and then told someone else and then a waitress who we never saw before took out order. It took a while, my friend had the Bog burger with fries and no pickle, I had the veggie burger with sweet potato fries no pickle and no dressing for my burger. Okay, so I waited for someone to come over and ask us how we were doing....nope....no one the entire time we ate, not even to ask if we wanted another drink. My burger was good, actually pretty tasty without any dressing and the portions were pretty good. We were finally approached if we wanted another drink but no one ever took our empty plates. It was just a bit disappointing. I may try it again, maybe it was just the night.

The Bog has reopened after renovation. We went on opening weekend. The place was packed. Service was excellent. Came often to check on us. We both had Bog Burgers. They were delicious! I think it was the best burger I've ever had. The renovations are great. The crowd is friendly. Food is terrific! Price is right.
