First the place I went was called the Cascade Inn. Anyway, love fish fry Fridays. They make a mean haddock. But this time the haddock was smallish and I barely got a handful of fries. So, not quite what I'm used to but it was still delicious.
The older lady that works there is th sweetest. Reminds me of my grandma. The food is delicious and hearty and homemade. Nothing fancy just your old fashioned American diner with hearty food and kind staff
We heard about this diner from students at St. Lawrence University and are so glad they recommended it! "Cheap eats" and a wonderful home cooked meal, homemade bread (white and raisin bread), piping hot coffee, delicious scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, and my friend said it was the best chipped beef she had ever had. Breakfast for three was $20! Wonderful waitress who was friendly, promptly served, and we will definitely return when next in Canton!
