I've been eating at West End Cafe since they opened many years ago. I have never had a bad meal there. The service has always been great and I will continue going there as long as I can. I love West End Cafe.

What a wonderful gem tucked away in Carle Place! My boyfriend and I went for the first time last night and had a wonderful experience. The food is scrumptious and the service and ambiance are top-notch. We can't wait to go back! Kim was our waitress. She was very welcoming and gave us recommendations! The garlic bread for the table was delicious. We started off with the grilled flatbread with the mission figs - the flat bread is made in house and was delicious and the toppings were fresh! I got the Romano Crusted Chicken and my boyfriend got the The Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb - both meals were perfectly portioned and fresh. For dessert, we got an apple crisp - very good! Can't wait to go back and try other options on the menu!

My girlfriend made a reservation for 6:30 on Valentine's Day. We were not sat until shortly before 7. The food was ok. There's not anything to really brag about. None of the appetizers spoke to us. The entrées were pretty good. The desserts looked like they came from a nearby bakery, and all looked the same.

We like the French bistro atmosphere and eclectic menu. We started with oriental chicken lettuce wraps and terrific duck tacos, full of scrumptious shredded duck, after finishing the basket of warm garlic knots served when you are seated. Also highly recommend the rack of lamb with decadent mashed potatoes and lightly garlicky spinach. Finished with very good decaf coffee.

I was there last year and had a fantastic experience. Last night the food wasn't great. I had the Brussels sprout appetizer and it was so salty I couldn't eat it. The sea scallops were fine but overall I was very disappointed and probably will not return.

Very nice ambiance. Very nice service. Only thing odd was the dishes i ordered seemed to be quite lacking in the salt department and there were no salt or pepper shakers on the table.

Valentine's Day-Not as good as usual. The service was really off. Lost our waiter somewhere and by the end of our meal the manager was waiting on us. Ceaser salad was a pile of bare lettuce and we waited forever to have the waiter bring us the dressing. Very disappointing. Two main courses were supposed to come with bok choy but I guess they ran out because it came with miscellaneous vegetables. As always the bread was delicious! As was the little carrot cake cupcake for dessert. The cocktails were the best!! Great drinks!
Wonderful, varied selection of foods. Full service, well stocked bar. The beer menu was a bit disappointing, but I wasn't there to drink .

Overall for a high priced meal, the food was good, not great. At this price point the food should be great.. The restaurant is small loud and crowded. It was a Saturday night but still smallish. The food portions were on the small side. At this price point I wouldn't come back. The meatballs and apple crisp were the best part of the meal. The drinks were good but pricy and again at this price point you expect more.

Don't let the exterior fool you, the interior is extremely warm and welcoming. The menu is very eclectic and had choices for every taste. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Overall a very nice experience.
