I don’t like to be that person to post a bad reviews but I believe realistic review is just an opportunity to fix things and make them better. We drove in here with my husband for a quick afternoon lunch and based on reviews chose this place that was on our way. Boy, I was disappointed. I will be specific to make sure all points are covered.
Service. I can’t even call it a service honestly cause there was none. Multiple people came by to take our order over and over to ask additional questions about our order. Each person asked the same questions we already answered to the person before. At the ends we still didn’t get our order right. Shocked me to see one of the girls outfit. I know it’s not a 5 star restaurant but serving food in the tight gym shorts where I can examine your woman parts is not the best way to go.
Food. We ordered couple appetizers and main dishes right away. Soup my husband received I believed was microwaved cause the plate was super hot and all the soup spilled on the flat plate under it by the time they served it. My steak they brought to me was completely burned to the crust, all I asked for a well done not burned, and it was served with mashed potato and steamed veggies not something I ordered at all after multiple people asked me what I wanted. The chicken cutlet or whatever it is that my husband ordered he couldn’t even finish cause it was not tasty.
Atmosphere. We were seated in the main area, very quiet, so we could hear the entire conversation of people who were sitting behind us. I didn’t feel like even talking to my husband since I didn’t want other people hearing our personal conversation.
This place definitely needs some updates and renovations. Just because it was acceptable the way it is few years back it’s not anymore in this age of time. Unless I don’t know that area well enough.

Good food, the staff is excellent, and they have great specials throughout the week. Northwood Inn has been a favorite since my family moved here in the early 2000s.

Delicious food with great portions! Also a good selection of Polish beers, some of which aren't easy to find in the US. The outdoor seating area is huge with a large tree in the center and mostly covered so it should be fine in anything short of a full on thunderstorm. Service was a little slow outside which is understandable.
Parking: There was plenty of parking when we showed up between lunch time and dinner time. When we left, both the small parking area off the road and the surrounding street were packed!
Kid-friendliness: The outdoor seating area is amazing! There are several covered tables and a larger canopy over two larger tables. There's a little slide for very small children and plenty of space for children to run around without bothering other patrons too much.

My daughter and her husband took me to Northwood Inn for an Early Mother's Day luncheon. I must say that I can not say enough about how good an experience it was. The atmosphere was lovely, and our waitress was such a very nice and friendly person. As for the food, we were absolutely impressed, from the way the different dishes were displayed to the absolutely GREAT way the food tasted!!! All of our three different meals and several appetizers were wonderful. We ended our meals with coffee ☕️ and dessert. We had the flavored cheesecake and the chocolate peanut butter pie. Oh my, they tasted delicious ? ?. I am only sorry that I didn't take photos of our food, but I can say that from the presentation to the wonderful taste, we were not disappointed!! I took some cards home ? to give to my friends to tell them about this wonderful restaurant ?. Thank you, Northwood Inn, for helping to make this Mother's Day outing a wonderful experience ❤️!!
