Putnam Hospital Cafeteria

The psychiatric unit in this hospital has very unfair and borderline inhumane visitation policies for their inpatients. How is it that you only allow one SCHEDULED 30 minute visit per patient per day? Depriving the patients that are admitted under your care of a quality visit from a loved one just isn’t right. These are people struggling with their mental health and would only benefit from more time with their loved ones. One singular allowance of a 30min interaction per day with their loved ones is inappropriate and unacceptable.

Had a terrible experience here last night. They had me sign the discharge papers while I was barely conscious, and by the time I was aware of what was happening they had brought security to escort me out. I was so dizzy and weak I couldn’t even sit up in the chair in the waiting room while I waited for my cab home and had to be helped into the cab. I had my son here in 2017 and had the absolute best experience, but apparently all of the staff with empathy and common sense have left.

Good food and nice selection. People here are very friendly and the food is really good.
