Amazing ruben sandwich, turkey club sandwich, burger and the chicken biscuit special at our table. First time visiting and very friendly staff! We will be back!

The food was amazing and the service was also amazing! Was a bit overwhelmed and anxious when I first walked in with my boyfriend but, that soon disappeared as the waitress and cooks were talking and joking with customers and amongst each other. Only gave food a 4 star review because I ordered a burger and only wanted lettuce added but I instead only got onions added. I don’t blame them at all or am upset though as I am a quiet speaker at times and just figured the waitress didn’t hear plus I didn’t inform them of the mistake. Other than that me and my boyfriend’s food was really good! :D

I just moved from California to New York and I heard a lot about this place, this was my first time here. I was kind of disappointed the fries were burnt. The burger was burnt no seasoning. I was hoping for a little bit better

I highly recommend the off-site catering offered by The Church Street Diner. They offer flexible options with the menu choices, and option to have event staffed vs food dropped off. The food and beverages are high quality and the owner (Dawn) is wonderful to work with in planning an event. I was very pleased. I will hire them again if we have another event.
We have passed by here every day for almost three years. We've decided to try more local restaurants instead of chains. I placed an order over the phone and it was ready within the time frame we were given. My husband and daughter got the french toast and they both enjoyed it. I got the biscuits and gravy. It was very basic, but also good. My son enjoyed his breakfast sandwich. The staff was friendly. I would say compared to other places (including some places we ate when we lived in hawaii) weve been to the portions are small for the price, you don't get a side of potatoes without an upcharge, but i also understand its a small business.
Over all I would go here again. I would probably try something different.

Stopped in for lunch last month after an appointment. Friendly atmosphere but disappointing food. Just had a burger and fries but there was no seasoning on the burger, just bland plain beef. Also, the fries didn't even taste like potato, just no taste at all.
As far as small diners go, this one's pretty small. But it's charm is bigger than its location. And the quality of the food is excellent. All I had was a standard two egg breakfast and probably had the best diner food I've had in a while. With large servings quickly made to order .A genuine quiet little place nestled near a downtown area. If you're looking for great food in a small City diner, this is it.
