Accidentally stumbled on this place. Good mistake. Unassuming on the outside being located in a somewhat rundown strip mall next to the Tractor Supply. Cute and welcoming on the inside. The hostess/bartender/waitress was very personable, pleasant and efficient. The food came out promptly and was HOT! It was also delicious. Such a great little place.
Food and service were great ! I'd go back in a heartbeat, and the waitress was very good.
I’ll start off with the good. The server was pleasant and helpful and my wife’s meal was excellent. Now the bad: I ordered a scallop and clam dish and the scallops had gone bad. You can tell because they get this ammonia smell. You cannot mess around with seafood. It HAS to be fresh, otherwise you risk getting your customers violently I’ll. Not cool. The merlot I ordered was also probably the worst I’ve ever drank. You could tell it was the cheapest they could find.Unfortunately won’t be returning since I know they serve food that’s gone bad, knowingly or accidentally- doesn’t really matter.
Jenna was all by herself in the restaurant. We are here all the way from Washington state and we're just having such a great time at the restaurant. The food was great and she nailed it with serving so many people at the same time and still keeping a smile and good demeanor.Highly recommend
As an out of town visitor, it's sometimes a gamble when trying a new restaurant. We were hesitant when we entered this establishment. The bartender, Jenna, kindly informed us she was the only server working that night. To our surprise and delight, Jenna absolutely delivered a great experience. Not only did she create a wonderful dining atmosphere for my party, she took care of 7+ other tables with the same professionalism and care. The food was delicious, the bar selection was expansive, and the service was top notch. All the staff here are to be commended but Jenna shined through. We will definitely return in the future when we are back in town.
Awesome experience. Jenna was amazing and by herself handling everything at the restaurant
Looking for somewhere close to eat so went here and it was terrible on Friday and no customers other than us. Old and rusty. All frozen food nothing fresh. I asked for wings and an extra order of fries and a 1 hour 30 minutes later our food comes out and the waiter only gives me fries thinking I’m only gonna eat that for dinner then she says we have everything? Nope wings missing she says what sauce I say mild she doesn’t come back 30 minutes later with my wings when everyone is almost done my dad got spaghetti and on the menu it says it comes with marinara and my dad got it no marina so he asked the waiter and she got it and on the bill apparently to get marinara it’s an extra $2 unbelievable then waited 45 minutes to get the waiter to give us the bill pizza not good either wouldn’t recommend coming here
Got the antipasto...needed a better house dressing.Sat at the bar with friends and they had wings..which were good and lasagna which was very pricey for the amount you got. Tasted ok but a bit expensive and nothing great.$40 for 2 drafts beer's, antipasto & a tip.
Ordered take out; Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken for my granddaughter, she enjoyed it and said it was good. I ordered the Puttanesca with chicken. It was the furtherest thing from Puttanesca I’ve ever had. Someone needs to look up the recipe for puttanesca. It was void of capers, briny olives (Kalamata olives) and any sign of anchovies for flavor or a light marinara sauce. It had chunks of cut up tomatoes which I guess was their idea of marinara and it had broccoli.
Mercato's is a great place to eat. Pizza is great and a lot of the menu is very good. They have been closed randomly lately because of staffing issues. When it is busy, service is painfully slow. Servers are really good... but patience is key.

Our waitress Nikki, the only waitress there tonight, was wonderful! A real rock star. She handled the bar, the diners, and take out orders without flinching. Our dinners were delicious... lasagna and chicken parm. We were a bit confused as to when the restaurant actually opens on Sunday.. website says 4pm... handwritten sign on door says 3pm. I hope management clears this up.
Parking: Located in Schodack Plaza.. Lots of parking available.
Food was excellent, the prices were competitive and the dishes felt fresh. I thought the service was good as well. It was sad to see that there weren't many people eating there on a Saturday night because I feel like its definitely worth the stop.
Always good, consistent quality, old school comfort, Italian food. I'm a big fan of the chicken sorento.
Ordered pizza through the appIt was made quickly and they texted when ready. It was very good. I will buy again in future
There's parking as this restaurant is located in the Schodack Plaza, a strip mall. As you walk in, there's a bar area, & also a separate dining room to the right. I got a take-out order of lasagna. The sauce was OK, & the salad had some olives in it (although I'm not an olives fan). The lasagna did not have many layers though. Traditional lasgana should have at least 3 to 4 layers. This lasagna though was pretty thin (i.e., not high as you'd expect). I didn't find much meat in it either. Also, while the good news is that it came with 2 slices of Italian bread, the bad news is that it wasn't the good crusty bread. Although It was edible, I wouldn't recommend the lasagna.
