Tonight we had a Christmas Party for the Fortnightly Club of Catskill. The food was delicious and everything was so well organized . If you’re looking to have a party or even just dinner this is the place to go. Excellent food and excellent service - Poppy and Alyssa were great tonight . Shawn is the best bartender around . Let’s not forget Cheryl who is the owner/chef! Her food is top notch !

This is one of the of the original Italian restaurants in Catskill, not only is their food spectacular but the bartender Shawn rates above all bartenders in Greene County. The best drinks, food, and prices around.

A nice cozy feeling restaurant! The food are big filling portions at an affordable price and super fresh! My favorite dish was the shrimp supreme, it's a creamy Marsala sauce with jumbo shrimp. I have never had anything like it in all of my 28 years on this planet. My waitress was attentive and sweet, and so was the rest of the service. The drinks were so good too! The bartender makes them with a little extra love ;) I love this place! Thank you La conca doro!

I ordered two entrees. First a scallop
Special. The size of the scallops and the sides were barely an appetizer. I sent it back. I ordered the chicken alla vodka. Specifically requesting all Dante pasta. The noodles were like camellia chicken noodle soup. The place was freeezing when I got there at 430. Don’t get me wrong. Once in a blue moon this place will nail it. Not this time. And this is my last attempt at giving them a shot. Disappointing is a gross understatement. For the quality and the price go to pomodoros. At least there you will get value. Not grand cuisine. But not 30 bucks for a scallop appetizer. The place is totally hit or miss and lately more miss than hit. Funny thing. Once I complained. My waitress stopped coming over and they sent the bus girl
To deliver the check and deal with me. Never again for this place

It got rather loud- more the clientele that night - not the fault of the establishment - people were just having fun

Dined at La Conca D'Oro because where I wanted to eat at was sold out for the night. The fact that there was wide open availability should have been my first clue and we should have headed for the hills.
When you walk in, it's apparent that this place hasn't been updated since the 80s. It was like walking into my 90 year old Italian grandmother's house, minus the plastic covering the sofas. Dark, dingy, worn, tacky . . . I could go on. But it's bad and not particularly clean looking either.
We waited an exorbitant time for drinks. If the bartender spent more time on prepping his fruit for the night in advance and less time socializing with his bar crowd, maybe our cocktails would have come out before the hors d'oeuvres. They were very good once we received them.
Sauce was overcooked. Chicken was so thick and tough that I needed a saw to cut through it. Every dish was over-sauced. I'd say this was pizzeria-level food at best, but I don't want to insult any local pizza places because we had a great lunch at Village the following day.

Please please bring back the zupe de pesc. That was a fantastic dish. Chicken parmesan is also very good. Also enjoy the fried mozzarella.

Shaun and Cheryl are always top tier with customer service. The food is enough for dinner and lunch tomorrow with unbeatable prices. The cocktails especially the lemon drop martini are 10 outta 10. If she has the bourbon bread pudding for dessert.. get the dessert!!

I had the stuffed eggplant. Absolutely delectable! Best I’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere is old school Italian, which my friends and I leaned into easily. My friends and I lingered over the food visiting and laughing. No one rushed us. Service was excellent. Reasonable pricing for this 5-star meal. Even the coffee was good!!
