I had stopped in Downtown Catskill to tour the downtown, which is currently being ripped apart and redone. The architecture and stores are pretty amazing. I stopped for lunch at Village Pizza II, having eaten at the other two stores in Red Hook and Rhinebeck and the food is always very consistent. The cheese slice that I had for lunch was really good but their prices don’t reflect this far in Upstate New York. A slice of Cheese Pizza and a bottle of Coke for $5.10? I thought it was a little pricy. Good but pricy.

I love love love pizza. This is a little place tucked into the Main Street of the village and it did not dissapoint. Very clean and cozy. I got 2 slices, 1 cheese and 1 pepperoni. They were so perfect - no wonder there are so many awards on the walls of this gem. Would go again for sure!

The pizza is very good but the service disappointed a little bit. We got there at 9:15pm and they close at 10pm. All the chairs were up already and they were cleaning the floor while we were eating. That's not a good first impression.
Nothing to make it some place I go out of my way for. It is clean inside the pizza tastes like pizza that someone kept in their fridge all week and heated up for lunch.
