Clean and comfortable restaurant with owner service. Large menu. Excellent chips and salsa. I had the Chimi Ranchos (shreaded pork and green sauce). Corn tortillas were used and could be fried a bit longer. Overall I found the ground beef (taco) and pork chili under seasoned.

We walked in and our waitress gave us our menus. Another couple walked in 20 minutes later and the other waiter sat them down gave them menus and then immediately gave them chips and salsa and we didn’t get offered any our entire meal. My burrito was also weirdly wet and soggy? I already read what I ordered wrong so I didn’t say anything. Won’t be going back again, I tried it once when they first opened and I wasn’t impressed glad to know nothing has changed lol.

El Patron was always solid but when I went in last week things had changed in a big way. Much more extensive menu and while their food has always been solid it is now off the charts. I admit to being a Mexican food snob (growing up west of the Mississippi) and have never been impressed with the options. For me this ranks close to Rio Tomatlan in Canadaigua. Legit north/eastern Mexican
