This place is 5-stars all the way!
The ambiance is really nice and the service was great!
Everything we ordered (mostly based off our waiter's suggestions) was amazing but the Black Sesame Cinnamon Bun stands out, really special.

We went here for our anniversary. The food was outstanding and the service was great. The whole restaurant feels like a high end hotel lobby. Quiet enough to hear each other. Everything was clean and well thought out. The fillet steak was among the top two steaks I've ever had. It was juicy, flavorful and extremely tender. It had a nice crust with a sticky glaze. The gyoza were crispy on the outside and filled with juicy flavorful meat. The Japanese pancakes were an interesting variation on scallion pancakes, with excellent pulled brisket on top. My wife really enjoyed the pad Thai, which also had a nice portion size. We shared a white lava cake dessert. The cake was a perfect execution of a classic. All around a great place for a nice night out.

This review is a very long time overdue. Anju is hands down my favorite restaurant in the Five Towns and honestly one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. The food is beyond incredible, always fresh and truly impeccable, but it goes so much deeper than that. The ambiance, the music, the energy, the entire experience feels thoughtful, elevated, and consistent every single time.

The service deserves special recognition across the board. Every waiter, every server, every host is attentive, kind, and genuinely present. There is such a warm, happy energy among the entire staff and you can feel it the moment you walk in. A huge part of that comes from Katherine, the manager, who truly holds this place together. She is warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive, making every guest feel seen, cared for, and important. What stands out just as much is how she treats her staff. You can see the respect, the positivity, and the joy she brings to the team, and that energy naturally flows into the entire dining experience.

Eating at Anju feels less like going out and more like coming home to a place where you are genuinely welcomed like family. This is my go to spot with my son and it means so much to us. The food never misses. As someone who came from San Francisco, where Japanese food is everywhere, and who grew up not kosher, I can honestly say Anju rivals and even surpasses many of the places I grew up with. For a kosher Japanese restaurant, this level of quality, flavor, and execution is truly exceptional.

Anju is special. The food, the atmosphere, the people, and the heart behind it all make it a place I will always come back to.

The food was very good. We had the Maui beef and Singapore Noodle special. Even the brownie was good. The staff is excellent.

My husband and I ate here for our anniversary and it was such a treat.
The cocktails were great, the lemon lychee martini was delicious but my husband got a mango sesame cocktail that was so unique and delicious.

The crispy tuna was both of our favorites out of this meal. So simple but really well executed. The Pho had a great broth and is very comparable to the pho that I have had at non-kosher restaurants. The Pad Thai was delicious as well.

The Blondie lava cake was not too sweet and was the perfect ending to this meal.

The food was delicious and really creative. The only thing I didn’t love was the timing of the main course … two people at the table were served first, and by the time my plate arrived, they were already halfway through. I felt like I had to rush to catch up.

The vanilla volcano cake for dessert was excellent, and I’d definitely recommend the food overall. The seating was a bit tight and felt a little squishy, but otherwise it was a great experience.
