My husband and I got our Wedding Cake from Benkert's in October. The cake was perfect and exactly what we wanted. The bakery offered a take-home cake tasting kit, which was great for us to be able to sample and make decisions. We were able to do each tier in a different flavor, and the cake was absolutely delicious. We had many guests specifically compliment how good the cake was. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a wedding cake.

My husband picked up a dozen rolls, 6 doughnuts and a tray of cookies. First of all the rolls were so crispy on the outside the crust crumbled off with each bite. Flavorless also, this was the opinion of myself, my daughter and husband. Doughnuts were just ok…Dunkin donuts quality with double the price. On to the cookies…….the most expensive item purchased and they were absolutely disgusting! We each tried numerous flavors and they all had the same bland flavor profile and were so dry they crumbled in your mouth. Huge waste of $67.00, this is not the same Benkerts that was great 20 years ago. They also need to find employees that enjoy helping customers, the girl who helped my husband was not friendly.

Sadly, due to the unwelcoming attitude of the employee who attended us, I have to give this place one star. My girlfriend and I went early in the morning, and it wasn’t busy at all. After the lady finished helping one couple, she came to us with what felt like pure annoyance.
Nothing in the display case was labeled, so we asked simple questions like what certain pastries were or how they were sold. Each time, she sighed, rolled her eyes, or gave short, unpleasant answers as if we were bothering her. Her tone and body language made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
When she asked how many we were getting, I said we weren’t sure yet since we were still looking, and she responded with another eye roll and walked off. Even at the register, she seemed irritated, and it looked like she didn’t know the prices or how to use the system.
If you’re not a morning person, maybe don’t work mornings — customers shouldn’t feel like they’re a burden just for asking questions. The pastries themselves were actually great — fresh and tasty — but the service completely ruined the experience. If I hadn’t driven so far, I honestly would’ve left everything there. Unacceptable service.

Came in to buy a cake tres Leche I guess the girl messed up because when I got to my sisters, it was a strawberry shortcake. I questioned her, but she said it was the Tres Leche for $27. I thought that was a ridiculous price, but it was for my son-in-law and that’s his favorite but it turned out. It was the wrong cake that she gave me. I was very disappointed. I really don’t know if I will come back.

I got my wedding cake through Benkerts bakery and it was absolutely perfect. I had a very specific cake request that required fresh flowers included on top and it looked amazing. The cake tasted so good!! We wanted fresh strawberry jam in our cake which many bakeries were unable to do, but Benkerts did it and knocked it out of the park. The jam had chunks of strawberries in it which is exactly what I wanted. They delivered our cake on time and in perfect condition. I would definitely recommend Benkerts to anyone looking for a perfect wedding cake. Best cake I’ve ever eaten in my life!
