On a scale from 0 -5 Benkerts is a 6. The assortment is incredible and fresh. Staff is always cordial. Probably one of the Best Bakeries on Long Island.

A Small Still Voice
My Mom passed away almost two years ago. To celebrate her memory we ordered from her favorite bakery and they did not disappoint. I remember she loved coming here for our birthdays and holidays. As a young teenager it was always a special treat for me and my siblings when mom came home with boxes of Benkert's goodies.This bakery will always remind me of mom, and the joy we felt.Loving memories from the Myers family

I don't want to hate on the bakery as a whole but I'm a bit upset at this. They didn't show me what or how they wrote prior to sealing the box and i get back home to this... don't have time to go back either so is what it is but check their work before you leave :/

Honestly may be the worst basic vanilla cake I’ve ever had. To the point where I could easily make a better tasting cake from a box with a jar of frosting. Don’t waste your money. Plenty of other options on LI.

They make the best layer cakes pastries! I’ve been going there since I was a little girl with my parents that was 55 years ago. Their 7 layer cake and mocha cakes are delicious..their pastries are the best. No matter what you get it’s the best I’ve ever gotten at any bakery ever..
Service is horrible, my sister tried to call ahead for a strawberry shortcake and was told multiple times ' we'll have it ' and they wouldn't take the order. She came in and ordered that strawberry shortcake that she needed AND WE GOT CHEESECAKE. Birthday Ruined Birthday girl hysterical

No Black Forest or Tiramisu individual cake slices when I got there. Had to do with a chocolate fudge cupcake. It was dry, such a disappointment. Why can't Long Island get a Paris Baguette? A decent place with coffee and pastries..sigh ?Prices are very reasonable I must say, service was great too. Convenient parking.
