Mangiamo Italian Market & Deli

Sandwiches are really good. They also have a good selection of ready foods. The only thing I will say is they have to be a bit more sanitary because they touch money/cards and then use the same gloves to get the cookies or bagels, etc. Also one of the ladies coughs every time over the sandwiches when she’s making them… kinda gross.

Love this place but as of late my orders have been incorrect everytime. I’ve met the owners and they have catered to me and Family. Orders come out top notch but when they are not (which is now often) the orders are incorrect. The counter person writes nothing down and to get home and see multiple things missing on the heroes is frustrating. No one wants to get in the car and go back so unfortunately I cried in a corner. Hope it gets corrected soon.

Worth the trip for good Italian deli food. They have very large portions. Happy I found this place and I recommend it for great heroes at a reasonable price.

this deli/market is one of the best places to get a sandwich in this area of LI. consistent, delicious, fresh. i have no complaints every time i have gotten food from mangiamo… and there has been many times lol. seriously you won’t regret going here, the prices are great compared to other places like seport for example. the quality and the quantity are both there!

Really wanted to try a sandwich here, but after waiting 10 minutes and the staff not knowing who comes in and what order, everyone that came in after me got their order and I was still standing there like a fool. I was standing in the same exact spot the guy before we ordered from, and I hate yelling at people about cutting the line. You shouldn’t have to make customers do that to each other.

Ordered on Uber, the driver cancelled after the order was taken by said driver. After I cancelled because it was taking too long a few minutes later I ordered the same thing and receives something not fresh as the new driver picked it up within minutes and was to my residence in 5 min. Pics to follow. They just gave me the same sandwich from the first order bc my name was the same with the same order from the previous transaction. The bread was watery and inedible, the chicken was obviously microwaved and the reason I know this is the wax paper was so fragile that it was clearly left for such a long time that the wax paper stuck to much of my sandwich that I couldn’t get off and I didn’t order paper. 1 star because you obviously care more about the money than your reputation. We catered my son’s Graduation party and the food was absolutely delish! Good portions, kind friendly staff My only disappointment was that when the food was delivered the eggplant was not hot at all … just barely warm, however it was tasty even if it wasn’t hot!

Came here to pick up a Too Good to Go order. The store was pristinely clean. The merchandise presentation was really nice and the staff was very friendly.

The food was really good. We got soup, bowtie pasta salad, penne and sausage, pigs in blankets, and a fresh loaf of Italian bread.

I look forward to coming back again.

COUNTER Service is slow,the product is very Good though

I used Mangiamos to cater my daughters sweet 16 and I couldn't have been happier. The Food was excellent and the portions were perfect. Compared to a few other places I got quotes from Mangiamos was the most fair priced and high quality option. Safe to say I will be using Mangiamos for all my parties in the future. Highly recommend

UPDATE: everyone please read the restaurants response to my review. How unprofessional of an establishment to respond with such sarcasm and spitefulness. Not only did they not address the terrible attitude of their employee but they actually are insinuating i am referring to subway shredded lettuce and insulting me. LOL. They are absolutely terrible and i hope the public reads their responses to poor reviews and sees how poor this deli is managed all around. They deserve to be shut down for their unprofessionalism.
STAY FAR AWAY. If you want a real italian deli try Salpinos they are far better and don’t use cheap products! Ciao!

Ordered a couple heroes for pickup. the place looked promising from the outside and then when we walked in we were greeted with the most miserable girl behind the register. Not 1 italian worker there, not authentic at all. $60 later the mortadella tasted cheap and gross we practically vomited and it actually smelled just as bad as it tasted! The hero bread was burnt, the lettuce was not shredded on the hero as a typical italian deli would do. Just a complete waste of money and time. If you are a real italian who likes true italian deli’s don’t go here!

We have been there for take-out 4-times over the last 6-8 weeks. Breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, dinner heroes , ready made chicken franchise dinner tray (feeds 5-6 for $25) & Italian bread. Everything we’ve ordered has been cooked perfect & delicious.

We recently moved to the area and are already obsessed! Great food and great staff!
